Freelance Photographer Booking Intro With an AI Avatar: Cost
A booking intro for a freelance photographer using an AI avatar: script, seconds, request JSON, and Sume Avatar 1.0 cost on standard, plus and max.
A freelancer's inquiry reply can include a short intro that explains packages and next steps. A Sume Avatar 1.0 clip does that in 4 to 60 seconds, but it is an avatar, not you, so label it that way.
Prices are from Sume's API pricing page and the request shape from Generate avatar video, both read on 2026-10-05. The avatar must exist first: Create new avatar accepts a prompt, a profile or a photo.
What should the script and scenes look like?
Describe what happens after the client replies. Counts use 2.8 words per second, rounded up per scene.
The seconds column is Sume's planning estimate of ceil(words / 2.8) per scene, not a measured render time.
| Scene | Spoken line | Words | Seconds |
|---|---|---|---|
| thanks | "Thanks for reaching out about your portrait sess..." | 12 | 5 |
| pack | "Sessions run one hour, and you receive twenty ed..." | 13 | 5 |
| next | "Pick a date from the calendar link, and I'll con..." | 13 | 5 |
| Total | 38 | 15 |

}What does it cost?
The plan above comes to 15 seconds, inside the 4 to 60 second window. At Sume's per-second rates (no product image), one render costs $2.76 on standard, $3.68 on plus (the default when quality is omitted) and $8.25 on max. Creating the avatar is a separate one-time $0.95; later clips reuse the handle.
| Quality | Rate per second | One clip | Total (1 clip) |
|---|---|---|---|
| standard | $0.184 | $2.76 | $2.76 |
| plus | $0.245 | $3.68 | $3.68 |
| max | $0.55 | $8.25 | $8.25 |
Should you disclose it is an avatar?
Yes. Tavus's Griffin page, read on 2026-10-05, reports 48 percent of 54 study participants believed they were talking to a real person, and says Tavus is working on disclosure features. The lesson applies to any avatar: say it is a virtual host.
A short line in the email or on the clip, such as 'virtual assistant', is enough.
What will it not do?
It will not look like you unless you built the avatar from your own photo, and it will not respond in real time. Sume does not claim live conversation.
Scripts for Avatar Video should be English; Sume's guidance is that non-English speech breaks caption alignment.
