Four Sume image rows bill between 3.75 and 5 cents: Flux 2 Pro at $0.0375, Seedream 5.0 Lite at $0.04375, and Seedream 4.5 and Recraft V4 at $0.05 each. A hundred images cost $3.75, $4.375, $5.00 and $5.00. Within that 1.25-cent band the choice is set by what the request needs. Flux 2 Pro and Recraft V4 list 13 aspect ratios, including 21:9. Both Seedream rows list nine. Recraft V4 takes no references and returns only webp.

Facts are from the Sume catalog on origin/main, read 2026-10-08. The catalog does not rank picture quality, and this post does not either.

All four take n from 1 to 4. None lists resolution or quality.

Rules of thumb from the grid

If you need a 21:9 header with a source photo, Flux 2 Pro is the only one of the four that does both and it is also the cheapest. If you need a text-only illustration in 21:9, Recraft V4 is available at 1.25 cents more, with webp as the only output.

If you need png or jpeg out, Recraft V4 is out. If you need a reference photo, Recraft V4 is out. The two Seedream rows are interchangeable on the contract, so the only difference is 0.625 cents per image.

Check before you commit

Read GET /v1/images/models/{id}/endpoints for the row you plan to use. It returns the definitive parameter set and the billed cost_usd. A parameter the row does not list returns 400 unsupported_parameter, so a shared request body that works on one of the four may fail on another; keep one request builder per model id.

When two rows look equal on the contract, run a blind comparison. Generate the same eight prompts on each, shuffle the files, and have two people pick the ones they would publish. At these prices the whole test for all four rows is about $1.45 for one image per prompt per row, which is cheaper than a wrong default.
