FLUX 3 Image 1K is $0.048 after Oct 8: which Sume models cost less
After the launch discount ends October 8, a FLUX 3 Image 1K render lists at $0.048 on fal. Eight Sume image models bill less per image; here are the numbers.

Per fal, a FLUX 3 Image 1K (1 MP) render costs $0.024 during the launch promotion and $0.048 once the discount ends on October 8. Eight models in the Sume image catalog bill below $0.048 per image at their default settings, from Higgsfield Soul at half a cent to Seedream 5.0 Lite at 4.375 cents.
The comparison is not a quality ranking. It only answers the budget question: if the number you are watching is cents per image at roughly one megapixel, which Sume models are already under the post-promo FLUX 3 price. FLUX 3 Image itself is not in the Sume catalog (read 2026-10-07), so this is a price check against alternatives you can call today.
The FLUX 3 Image price on fal
The fal text-to-image page states that image pricing varies by resolution, starting at $0.0205 per image, and that a 1K (1 MP) image costs $0.024. It adds that these are promotional launch rates at 50% off, and that after the discount ends on October 8 a 1K image will cost $0.048. The edit page is the matching listing for reference-based edits.
That gives two 1K numbers to hold in mind: $24.00 per 1,000 images today and $48.00 per 1,000 images after the discount.
Sume models that bill under $0.048
Sume bills the provider list price times 1.25, as the Image API docs describe: the endpoint pricing lines already include the margin, and you pay cost_usd x n. The table applies that to the default setting of each model. Percent below is measured against $0.048.
| Sume model | Billed per image | Per 1,000 images | Versus $0.048 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Higgsfield Soul (720p) | $0.005 | $5.00 | 89.6% below |
| Grok Imagine | $0.025 | $25.00 | 47.9% below |
| Qwen Image | $0.025 | $25.00 | 47.9% below |
| Imagen 4 Fast | $0.025 | $25.00 | 47.9% below |
| Seedream 4.0 | $0.0325 | $32.50 | 32.3% below |
| Flux 2 Pro | $0.0375 | $37.50 | 21.9% below |
| Ideogram 4.5 (low quality) | $0.0375 | $37.50 | 21.9% below |
| Seedream 5.0 Lite | $0.04375 | $43.75 | 8.9% below |
What the table leaves out
Ideogram 4.5 defaults to medium quality on Sume at $0.075, which is above $0.048. The row above is its low tier. Soul is the cheapest row, so check in the endpoint capabilities that it supports the inputs your job needs before you count on it. Seedream 4.5 and Recraft V4 both bill $0.05, just over the line.
Resolution matters too. FLUX 3 prices by tier, and fal lists tiers above 1K at higher prices. Sume models mostly bill one price per image regardless of the size you request, with Nano Banana the exception because its price follows the tier you choose. A flat price makes bigger sizes look cheaper on Sume. Check the size the response returns before you compare unit prices, and compare the same tier on both sides.
A short decision rule
- If you need FLUX 3 Image behaviour (boxes, ten references), call it where it is sold and use the $24 per 1,000 window while it lasts.
- If you need the lowest price at about one megapixel, Soul, Grok Imagine, Qwen Image and Imagen 4 Fast are the four cheapest rows in the table.
- If you need edits with a reference photo, drop Soul and the text-only rows, then start with Flux 2 Pro at $0.0375.
