BFL FLUX.2 Pro 'from $0.03' x 1.25 = Sume flux-2-pro $0.0375

Sume bills provider list times 1.25. BFL lists FLUX.2 Pro from $0.03 and Sume's flux-2-pro is $0.0375, which is exactly 1.25x. Here is when the match holds.

Sume's flux-2-pro costs $0.0375 per image. Black Forest Labs lists FLUX.2 Pro from $0.03. Multiply $0.03 by Sume's 1.25 list multiplier and you get $0.0375 exactly. So at the starting size, the Sume price is the vendor price plus 25%, and nothing else is added.

The arithmetic

Sume bills the provider list price times 1.25 (the Video Router docs state this for video models). The table below puts BFL's FLUX.2 'from' prices next to the Sume row that exists. Only Pro has a Sume listing in the facts checked for this post; the other rows show what 1.25x would be, not a Sume price.

Why 'from' matters

BFL prices FLUX.2 per megapixel: the first megapixel costs a flat rate and each additional megapixel adds to the total. The 'from' figure is the smallest output. A larger image on BFL costs more, and Sume's flat $0.0375 is for the default options in its catalog, so the two numbers only line up for a small output. Check the actual size you send.

What to do with it

Use the multiplier as a sanity check: if a Sume quote for a model it lists differs from the vendor's page by something other than 1.25x, either the vendor tier or the options differ. For FLUX.3, the vendor page prices by resolution tier (768sq $0.041, 1k $0.048, 2k $0.100, 4k $0.607) and Sume does not list FLUX.3, so no multiplier applies there. The Image API docs describe how to read the live prices.

A worked example

Suppose you generate 2,000 small FLUX.2 Pro stills. At BFL's starting price that is 2,000 x $0.03 = $60. On Sume it is 2,000 x $0.0375 = $75. The $15 difference is the 25% margin. If your images are larger than one megapixel, BFL's per-megapixel charge applies and the real BFL bill will be higher than $60, so check the size you send before comparing.
