FLUX 3 Image's 15 aspect ratios against what Sume's rows list
Which of BFL's 15 FLUX 3 Image aspect ratios the Sume rows cover: FLUX.2 Pro 13, Ideogram 4.5 11, Nano Banana 2.1 10, Seedream 9, GPT Image 2.5 7.

BFL's FLUX 3 Image takes 15 fixed ratios plus auto. FLUX 3 Image is not listed in the Sume image catalog (read 2026-10-09). The closest listed row is FLUX.2 Pro, which covers 13 of the 15; the two it misses are 7:5 and 5:7.
What are the 15 ratios?
BFL's prompting guide lists them from 21:9 to 9:21.
| Group | Ratios |
|---|---|
| Ultra-wide | 21:9, 2:1 |
| Widescreen | 16:9 |
| Landscape photo | 3:2, 7:5, 4:3 |
| Near square | 5:4, 1:1, 4:5 |
| Portrait | 3:4, 5:7, 2:3 |
| Tall | 9:16, 1:2, 9:21 |
How many does each Sume row cover?
Counted against the ratio lists in the Sume catalog code on main, read 2026-10-09:
| Sume row | Covered of 15 | Missing |
|---|---|---|
| black-forest-labs/flux.2-pro and flex | 13 | 7:5, 5:7 |
| ideogram/ideogram-v4.5 | 11 | 21:9, 7:5, 5:7, 9:21 |
| google/nano-banana-2.1 | 10 | 2:1, 1:2, 9:21, 7:5, 5:7 |
| bytedance-seed/seedream-4.5 | 9 | 2:1, 1:2, 21:9, 9:21, 7:5, 5:7 |
| openai/gpt-image-2.5 | 7 | 21:9, 2:1, 3:2, 2:3, 1:2, 9:21, 7:5, 5:7 |
What does auto do in each?
BFL's auto follows the first reference image and gives 1:1 when there is none. On Sume, aspect_ratio: "auto" on an edit matches the reference, and several rows list auto for text-to-image too. The behavior differs by row, so test one call and read the output size.
What should I do with 7:5 and 5:7?
Neither ratio is in any Sume ratio list, so send a listed value instead. Generate at 3:2 or 4:3 and crop, which loses 6.7 percent of the width from 3:2 or 4.8 percent of the height from 4:3 for 7:5; the crop math for 7:5 and 5:7 is in the next post. Rows and limits are in the image models docs.
A ratio count is not a quality ranking. Nine of the fifteen is enough for most feeds, banners and posters, and the ratios missing from every Sume row are the two photo-print ratios, 7:5 and 5:7. Before choosing a row, list the three ratios you actually publish and check that each one is in the row's catalog entry.
