Farmers market square 1:1 clip: which Sume models take it

Omni Flash 1.1 is 16:9 or 9:16 only, so a square feed clip needs Wan 3.0, Kling 3, H3 or Seedance. Six-second 720p prices from $0.45 to $3.47.

For a square 1:1 feed clip, use wan-3.0, kling-3, minimax-h3 or a Seedance id on Sume, because gemini-omni-flash-1.1 lists only 16:9 and 9:16. A 6-second clip costs $0.45 on H3 at 768p, $0.75 on Wan 3.0 at 720p, $1.26 on Kling 3 with sound and $3.47 on Seedance 2.5.

A request for an unlisted ratio fails with 400 unsupported_capability and no provider submission, so a wrong guess costs nothing. The ratio lists are in the catalog at GET /v1/videos/models; see Video generation and Video Router, read 2026-10-06.

What does the square clip cost?

Six seconds at 720p (H3 at its native 768p), aspect_ratio set to 1:1.

How do I request a square clip?

Set aspect_ratio explicitly. Do not rely on a default, because the default shape differs per model.

curl -sS -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/videos \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "wan-3.0",
    "prompt": "Hands arranging heirloom tomatoes on a market stall, morning light",
    "duration": 6,
    "resolution": "720p",
    "aspect_ratio": "1:1"
  }'

Should I crop a 16:9 clip instead?

Cropping a 16:9 render to square throws away over 40 percent of the pixels you paid for. If the framing is a centred product or hands on a table, generating square directly is usually the better spend, and the Sume video filter route can crop later if you change your mind.
