ElevenLabs Flash $0.04 and v3 $0.08 vs Sume TTS, 20,000 characters
ElevenLabs lists $0.04 (Flash) and $0.08 (v3) per 1,000 characters; Sume TTS is $0.0475. A full 20,000-character Sume job is $0.95 before the fee.

ElevenLabs' API pricing page lists $0.04 per 1,000 characters for Flash and Turbo and $0.08 for v2 Multilingual and v3. Sume TTS sells at $0.0475 per 1,000 characters, so it falls between them. A 20,000-character script, which is Sume's per-request maximum, costs $0.95 on Sume before the 5.5% fee, against $0.80 and $1.60 at ElevenLabs' two list rates.
What ElevenLabs publishes
ElevenLabs' API pricing page (read 2026-10-07) lists Flash and Turbo at $0.04 and v2 Multilingual and v3 at $0.08 per 1,000 characters. It also showed a promotional discount on the v4 model through October 12, which is why v4 is left out here. Subscription plans can lower the effective rate; this post compares list API rates only.
A 20,000-character script
The arithmetic is 20 x the per-1,000 price. On Sume, the sell price is the provider list price x 1.25 and the platform fee is 5.5% of that.
| Service and model | Per 1,000 characters | 20,000 characters | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| ElevenLabs Flash / Turbo | $0.04 | $0.80 | vendor list |
| ElevenLabs v2 Multilingual / v3 | $0.08 | $1.60 | vendor list |
| Sume TTS | $0.0475 | $0.95 | sell price, before fee |
| Sume TTS with 5.5% fee | $0.050112 | $1.00 | hold at submit |
Interpreting the numbers
Sume sits 19% above ElevenLabs Flash and 41% below v3 per character, before fee; with the 5.5% fee it is about 25% above Flash and 37% below v3. Price is not the whole decision: voices, languages, latency and output quality differ between models, so listen to samples first. Sume's per-request cap is 20,000 characters, so a longer script is split into jobs, as in the 100,000-character post.
Where Sume fits
If your pipeline already uses Sume for video, images and music, one balance and one usage ledger covers the voice too. If voice is your only workload and Flash quality is enough, ElevenLabs' list price is lower. Re-read both pages before committing volume.
