ElevenLabs credit price by plan: $0.18 per 1,000 characters on Creator
ElevenLabs Creator is $22 for 121,000 credits, about $0.18 per 1,000 characters at 1 credit per character. Annual billing pays 10 months. Sume TTS is $0.0475.

ElevenLabs states that standard V2 models cost 1 credit per character, so a plan's price per 1,000 characters is its price divided by its credits in thousands: $0.182 on Creator ($22 for 121,000 credits), $0.165 on Pro and $0.165 on Business. Annual billing pays for 10 months, so annual Creator is $220 a year, $18.33 a month, or $0.152 per 1,000 characters. Read 2026-10-03 from the ElevenLabs pricing page. Sume's TTS is $0.0475 per 1,000 characters.
The discounted models the page mentions cost between 0.5 and 1 credit per character, so the figures below are the 1-credit ceiling.
Credits and price per plan
ElevenLabs lists Free at 10,000 credits, Starter at $6 for 30,000 (with a $1 first month promotion), Creator at $22 for 121,000 ($11 first month), Pro at $99 for 600,000, Scale at $299 for 1.8 million and Business at $990 for 6 million. The page says unused credits roll over for up to two months with a cap of 3 times the monthly quota on active paid subscriptions.
| Plan | Monthly price | Credits | Credits per dollar | Dollars per 1,000 characters | Rollover cap (3x credits) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $6 | 30,000 | 5,000 | $0.200 | 90,000 |
| Creator | $22 | 121,000 | 5,500 | $0.182 | 363,000 |
| Pro | $99 | 600,000 | 6,061 | $0.165 | 1,800,000 |
| Scale | $299 | 1,800,000 | 6,020 | $0.166 | 5,400,000 |
| Business | $990 | 6,000,000 | 6,061 | $0.165 | 18,000,000 |
What the rollover cap means
A Creator subscriber who spends nothing for two months holds up to 363,000 credits, which is the cap. Spending at the cap is not free: you keep paying $22 a month whether or not you use credits. If you use 30,000 credits a month on Creator, the real price is $0.733 per 1,000 characters, not $0.182.
That is the most important number on the page for light users. A plan is a minimum commitment, and the headline credit price is the best case.
Against a per-character wallet
Sume's TTS is $0.0475 per 1,000 characters, a flat rate that does not change with a plan. At Creator's 1-credit rate that is $0.182 versus $0.0475, a ratio of 3.8 times. Even Business at $0.165 is 3.5 times the Sume rate.
That does not make the two equivalent. Sume's voices come from one provider family, while ElevenLabs offers a far larger voice library, cloning and dubbing, and the cheaper discounted models bring its price down. Compare a real script before moving.
Limits
If your usage is under a quarter of a plan's credits, a pay-per-character wallet is the cheaper shape.
- Only the 1 credit per character models are priced here.
- Annual billing figures assume the page's statement that annual pays 10 months.
- Extra credits beyond the plan are priced separately, per minute, and cost more than the plan's own rate.
