Halloween night boarding: quiet-room and ID-tag clip for a pet daycare
The ASPCA advises a separate quiet room during trick-or-treating and ID tags on reflective collars. Show both in one 12-second clip, $0.22 on Sume.

The ASPCA advises keeping all but the most social dogs and cats in a separate, comfortable room away from the front door during peak trick-or-treating, with favorite toys, and using a reflective collar, a secure leash and an ID tag when taking pets out after dark. A daycare or boarding business can show both in one 12-second clip to sell Halloween-night boarding. A trim and a caption job cost $0.22 on Sume.
The ASPCA points to borrow
A boarding offer rests on two statements from the page. Stay close to its wording.
| Topic | What the page says |
|---|---|
| Quiet room | all but the most social dogs and cats stay in a separate, comfortable room away from the front door, with favorite toys |
| After dark | reflective collar, secure leash, ID tag |
| Reason | extra foot traffic and strange costumes can spook pets and cause them to bolt |
| Lit pumpkins | pets can knock them over and start a fire |
Film the room, not the dog's face
Show your quiet room: a bed, a puzzle toy, a closed door, a soft light. Then a close shot of a collar with a tag on a hook near the door. Film each for 5 or 6 seconds, in one take of about 20 seconds.
Keep the room lit like it is on Halloween night, with the window shade drawn, so the clip shows the actual conditions.
Cut and caption
Cut 12 seconds with video trim and burn a caption with video captions using cues. A good pair of cards: "Halloween night: a quiet room, away from the door" and "Book by October 29." Replace the date with your real cut-off.
Because cues carry the text and times, the clip is silent and plays well on a phone with the sound off.
| Step | Jobs | Subtotal |
|---|---|---|
| Trim to 12 s | 1 | $0.02 |
| Caption job, two cards | 1 | $0.20 |
| Total | 2 | $0.22 |
| Same clip for three locations, new address cue | 3 captions | $0.60 |
Be specific about what you offer
The ASPCA says only the most social dogs and cats can skip the separate room. If a pet needs more care, a clip will not cover it, so say how a booking works and who to call. State your own capacity, since the clip invites a rush.
Keep the date cue current: if the cut-off passes, pause the ad rather than leaving an expired card in front of new viewers.
Before you publish
Video trim reads only media.sume.com files, such as a Sume-generated clip or a TikTok or Instagram video mirrored with POST /v1/media-imports ($0.15, not in the $0.22). Use that media.sume.com URL as the trim source. A trim needs start plus exactly one of end or duration, and precision defaults to exact, which lands on the frame you wrote down.
Captions with cues take your text with start and end seconds and skip speech-to-text, so a clip with no speech never hits caption_no_speech. A caption job covers a video up to 60 seconds, which is why each clip here stays well under that.
Write each card as one short sentence and date it, then re-check the source page before each season, since deadlines, rules and figures change. If you need the same words on a second clip or a different layout, pass source_caption_id to restyle an earlier caption job rather than paying for another speech-to-text pass; for authored cues, a second job at $0.20 is the simple route.
