Google says videos uploaded to Merchant Center can run across Demand Gen based on live interest. Make one short product clip per SKU on Sume and upload each.

Google's May 20, 2026 YouTube post says dynamic product videos let you upload videos to Google Merchant Center and have them distributed across Demand Gen based on real-time user interest (read 2026-10-02). That makes the unit of work one video per product, which you can produce on Sume with a reference photo and a short prompt.

What Google says

The post also lists multimodal video creation in Asset Studio, a creator-video picker, Google Maps inventory, checkout links in nine new markets and product feeds on more surfaces. It claims a 33% increase in conversions for advertisers with large product selections that adopt product feeds (read 2026-10-02). That figure is Google's, not a result I measured.

One clip per SKU on Sume

With the Video Router, you pick a catalog model, a duration and an aspect ratio, and attach a product image as a first frame or reference. Check each model's limits in the catalog, since they differ. Use a separate Idempotency-Key per SKU so a retry does not create a duplicate job.

  • Use the product photo you list in the feed as the reference.
  • Keep prompts short and the same across SKUs, changing only the product line.
  • Generate 9:16 and 16:9 if you want both shapes; see Demand Gen video specs.
  • Review each clip for wrong labels or shapes before upload.

Cautions

AI video can alter packaging or invent details, so a clip that does not match the product can cause disapprovals or returns. Review every clip. Merchant Center has its own video rules; see the video link length post. Sume does not upload to Merchant Center or read your feed.
