Fix flicker in AI video with the deflicker filter API

Run the clip through POST /v1/video-filter with deflicker in the filtergraph. It is on Sume's allowlist, and the encode returns a new MP4 for the listed $0.02 per job. It targets frame-to-frame brightness pumping; it does not repaint detail that changes from frame to frame.

Higgsfield's changelog (FLUX 3 Video Upscaler, Aug 27, 2026, read 2026-10-01) says that tool keeps motion smooth while raising resolution. If a generated clip flickers, the fix is a temporal pass on the file, which is what this filter is.

What does deflicker fix, and what does it not?

Deflicker is an ffmpeg filter that evens out luminance across neighboring frames. Sume's docs do not describe how it behaves on generated video, so treat the table as a starting guess and test one clip.

How do I run it?

Import the clip if needed, check the program, then submit with an Idempotency-Key. The check is free, creates no job and does not touch the encoder.

Can I stack filters?

Yes, within the cap of 32 named filters and 2048 characters. Separate them with commas, for example deflicker before a mild sharpen. Keep the graph short: every added filter is another look you must review, and a failure on the box (a bad expression, memory, time) returns as a structured job error.

What if the flicker is in the content, not the light?
