Edge Add-ons extension logo: 300x300 recommended, 128x128 minimum

Edge Add-ons wants a 1:1 extension logo, 300x300 recommended, 128x128 minimum, per language. Generate 1024x1024 with GPT Image 2.5 on Sume and downscale.

The extension logo in Edge's Partner Center listing is required for each language. Edge wants a 1:1 image, recommends 300x300 and sets 128x128 as the minimum. Those sizes are under GPT Image 2.5's pixel floor on Sume, so request 1024x1024 and downscale.

Edge's rules are from Microsoft Learn; Sume's from the Image API docs. Both read 2026-10-01.

What does Edge require?

Per the publishing page, the logo is an image with a 1:1 aspect ratio, 300x300 recommended and 128x128 minimum. One logo is needed per language, and a Duplicate option copies it to the other languages you have added.

What size should I request?

1024x1024 has 1,048,576 pixels and edges that are multiples of 16, so it passes (our arithmetic). Neither Edge size does: 300x300 is 90,000 pixels and 128x128 is 16,384.

Edge logo sizes against the GPT pixel floor of 655,360, read 2026-10-01 (our arithmetic)

128x12816,384No
300x30090,000No
1024x10241,048,576Yes

What do I send?

Then resize to 300x300 in your own tool.

curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/images \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "openai/gpt-image-2.5",
    "prompt": "Extension logo: simple orange compass mark on a solid white square, flat vector look, no text",
    "image_size": "1024x1024",
    "output_format": "png"
  }'

Do I need a different logo per language?

Edge requires one per language, but the Duplicate option copies one image across them, so a single file can do.
