Country and acoustic folk music for a brand ad: a warm brief

Country and acoustic folk suit brands that want warmth: farms, coffee, outdoors and local services. A usable brief names instruments, pace and feeling: "Instrumental acoustic folk, 95 BPM, fingerpicked guitar, soft banjo, light brushed drums, warm and hopeful, no vocals, gentle ending on a held chord." Google's music generation page, read on 2026-10-05, lists an instrumental option, and says safety filters block artist voices and copyrighted lyrics, so keep the prompt free of artist names.

Cost and settings on Sume

One take is $0.125 through the Music Router. A 30-second ad rendered on Timeline 1.0 is $0.10, because output minutes round up. Set gain_db a little under 0 and fade_out_seconds to 2 or 3 for a soft finish; if a voiceover is present, add duck_db between 6 and 10 so the guitar dips under speech.

Pitfalls

Acoustic arrangements are exposed: a missed strum or odd note is easier to hear than in a dense electronic bed. Generate two or three takes. If the first seconds are too slow for a short ad, ask for "starts immediately with a strummed chord" rather than a long intro. Google lists Lyria 3.5 at $0.08 per song on its pricing page; the Sume price above is what an account is billed.
