Sume's per-image prices for fal-listed models are the fal list price times 1.25: Ideogram 4.5 is $0.0375, $0.075 and $0.275 for low, medium and high (from fal's $0.03, $0.06, $0.22), Recraft V4 is $0.05 (from $0.04) and Seedream 5 Lite is $0.04375 (from $0.035). The check takes the three fal pages and a calculator.

The five checks

Each fal price below was read on its fal model page on 2026-10-09. The Sume column is the multiplication, which matches Sume's catalog rows.

fal list price x 1.25 against Sume rows, as of 2026-10-09
Model and tierfal listArithmeticSume row
Ideogram 4.5 medium$0.060.06 x 1.25$0.075
Ideogram 4.5 low$0.030.03 x 1.25$0.0375
Ideogram 4.5 high$0.220.22 x 1.25$0.275
Recraft V4$0.040.04 x 1.25$0.05
Seedream 5 Lite$0.0350.035 x 1.25$0.0437

What the rule does not cover

The rule holds for models whose provider list price is a published per-image number. It is not the whole story for the rest of the catalog. GPT Image 2.5 is priced from output tokens and tiered by quality and size, and Sume's row for it comes from the token calculator in its docs, not from a flat fal number. Google's Nano Banana 2.1 rows on Sume ($0.10 at 1K) are not 1.25 times Google's own Gemini API price ($0.0336), so do not apply the rule across vendors without checking each row.

Sume's catalog also says it plainly for the router: Image Router pass-through models reserve from provider list pricing times a 1.25 Sume margin.

Why bother

Two reasons. One, you can forecast spend before you send a request, because the Sume row is known from a public page. Two, you can see what the margin is in dollars: $0.01 per Recraft V4 image, $0.015 per Ideogram medium image, $0.00875 per Seedream 5 Lite image. At 10,000 images that is $100, $150 and $87.50.

If your volume on one model is large, the number to compare is that margin against the cost of running a second integration. For mixed use across several models, one wallet and one request shape is usually worth it.

How to repeat the check

Open each fal page, note the price for the tier you use, multiply by 1.25 and compare with the pricing line in GET /v1/images/models/{model_id}/endpoints. Sume's docs say those lines are the amount charged to your wallet and already include the margin, so you pay cost_usd x n.

If the numbers differ, trust the Sume endpoint line for what you will be charged and treat the fal page as a source of context. A list price can change on either side on a different day, and the rows in this post are the ones read on 2026-10-09.
