Cafe holiday menu board with AI: Ideogram 4.5 cost by quality
Four seasonal menu boards in three takes each cost $0.45 at low, $0.90 at medium and $3.30 at high quality on Sume. Edit one board to save.

A cafe can make four seasonal menu boards with Ideogram 4.5 for $0.45 at low quality, $0.90 at medium or $3.30 at high, if each board takes three attempts. Editing one finished board into the other three costs less: one high-quality board plus three medium edits is $0.50 on Sume. The catalog prices below were read from Sume's repo on 2026-10-11.
What do the three quality levels cost?
Ideogram 4.5 accepts quality of low, medium or high; if you omit it, the default is medium. Resolution (1K or 2K) does not change the price. Sume's image docs give the provider list as $0.03, $0.06 or $0.22 per image, and Sume bills that list times 1.25, which gives $0.0375, $0.075 and $0.275.
Menu boards are mostly text, so check each result letter by letter. A board with a wrong price or a misspelled drink name is a failed take at any quality level, which is why the cost table counts takes, not boards.
| Quality | Per image | 12 images |
|---|---|---|
| Low | $0.0375 | $0.45 |
| Medium | $0.075 | $0.90 |
| High | $0.275 | $3.30 |
Is it cheaper to edit one board?
Yes, and the boards look like one family. With a reference image, Ideogram edits the first image and uses up to four more as references, and an edit without an aspect ratio keeps the shape of the source. Generate the hot drinks board at high quality once, then send it as the first reference with a prompt such as: same layout and type style, new heading, replace the lines with the pastry list.
That gives one high board ($0.275) plus three medium edits ($0.225), for $0.500. If an edit comes back with the old drink names still showing, spend a fourth edit, which is only $0.075.
What do you put on the boards?
Keep to about four lines of text per board. Four boards cover the usual split: hot drinks, pastry and bakes, a limited-time special, and a gift card or loyalty line. The wording is yours to write; the model draws it, and you proofread it before it goes on a screen or a printed sign.
Where do the boards go, and when?
Plan the boards for the day the autumn list comes down. The same four images also work as a vertical story or a window poster when printed, if the pixel size is enough: ask for the 2K resolution if you plan to print, since it costs the same as 1K.
Keep the prompts in a note, because next year you can reuse each one with new prices. A second pass is cheap: if three of the four boards pass proofreading on the first try, the first-try cost of the set is $0.30 at medium and you only pay again for the one that failed. Run the job through Sume's usual poll-and-result flow.
