Eleven v4 on Sume: 10 cents per 1,000 characters, all five rows
Sume's TTS Router prices Eleven v4 at $0.10 per 1,000 characters, v4 Turbo $0.05, v3 and Multilingual v2 $0.125, Turbo v2.5 $0.0625. Sonic is $0.0475.

Eleven v4 costs $0.10 per 1,000 characters on Sume's TTS Router, and Eleven v4 Turbo costs $0.05. The other three ElevenLabs rows in the catalog are Eleven v3 and Eleven Multilingual v2 at $0.125 and Eleven Turbo v2.5 at $0.0625. The Cartesia Sonic rows next to them are $0.0475. All six are charged per transcript character, and the job total is rounded up to the cent.
These numbers come from the router catalog in Sume's code on main, read 2026-10-11, where each row stores a list rate in USD micros per character and the catalog publishes the margin the reserve charges. The live check is GET /v1/tts-router/models, which returns pricing.list_usd_micros_per_character, billable_margin and billable_formula for every id.
What does each Eleven row cost per 1,000 characters?
The catalog row holds the provider list rate, and the billable amount is that rate times the house margin of 1.25 (the billable_formula field reads list × 1.25 → ceil usd cents). ElevenLabs rows run through fal, so the list rate is the fal rate per character, not an ElevenLabs plan credit. The table below is that arithmetic for each row.
| Router id | List micros per character | Sume price per 1,000 characters | Largest request |
|---|---|---|---|
| eleven-v4 | 80 | $0.10 | 10,000 characters |
| eleven-v4-turbo | 40 | $0.05 | 10,000 characters |
| eleven-v3 | 100 | $0.125 | 5,000 characters |
| eleven-multilingual-v2 | 100 | $0.125 | 10,000 characters |
| eleven-turbo-v2.5 | 50 | $0.0625 | 20,000 characters |
| sonic-3.6 (and the other sonic ids) | 38 | $0.0475 | 20,000 characters |
What does a real script cost?
Multiply characters by the rate and round the total up to the cent. A 4,000-character script is $0.40 on eleven-v4, $0.20 on eleven-v4-turbo, $0.50 on eleven-v3 or eleven-multilingual-v2, $0.25 on eleven-turbo-v2.5 and $0.19 on sonic-3.6. A 10,000-character script, the most eleven-v4 takes in one request, is $1.00 on v4, $0.50 on v4 Turbo and $1.25 on Multilingual v2. Eleven v3 cannot take it in one request, because its catalog row stops at 5,000 characters.
Characters are the transcript you send. Audio length does not change the price, so a slow, pause-heavy read costs the same as a fast one.
Does an ElevenLabs promotion change what Sume charges?
No. The rate is a fixed number in the catalog, stamped in the code on 2026-10-09, and it is the same for every caller. If ElevenLabs runs a discount on its own plans, that discount does not appear on the Sume invoice, and the reverse holds too: a rate change on your ElevenLabs plan is not a Sume change.
Treat the catalog as the source of truth for the amount you will be charged, and re-read it before a large batch. The pricing block also tells you the margin without needing to guess.
Which row should I pick on price alone?
Sonic 3.6 is the cheapest per character at $0.0475. Among the ElevenLabs rows, v4 Turbo is the cheapest at $0.05 and costs half of v4. ElevenLabs' own models page, read 2026-10-11, lists v4 and v4 Turbo at 90+ languages and describes v4 Turbo as the median-latency-about-100-ms option, so Turbo is the natural row for drafts and long batches, with v4 reserved for the lines where delivery matters most.
Price is only one column. The Eleven rows return MP3 only, need an ElevenLabs voice id, and refuse timestamps and segmentation, so check those limits before you move a whole pipeline. Text to speech API pricing covers the Sonic side in more detail.
