Thanksgiving turkey pickup clips for a butcher: two clips, $1.15
Two silent clips for a butcher shop, a preorder clip and a last-call clip before Thanksgiving, Nov 26, 2026: Wan 3.0 plus caption cues, $1.15 on Sume.

For a butcher shop selling Thanksgiving turkeys, make two short silent clips: a preorder clip of 8 seconds ($0.50 for Wan 3.0 at 480p plus $0.20 for caption cues) and a last-call clip of 4 seconds ($0.25 plus $0.20). Both start from your own photos and burn the order-by date and pickup window as text. The pair costs $1.15 on Sume.
Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of November, which is November 26 in 2026, per Wikipedia (read 2026-10-11). Count back from there for pickup days: Monday Nov 23, Tuesday Nov 24 and Wednesday Nov 25 are the three pickup days before the holiday.
Why two clips instead of one?
A preorder message and a last-call message do different jobs. The first goes out early and explains what you sell: bird sizes, brining, sides. The second goes out a few days before the order cutoff and says only what is left to order and by when. Making both from the same photo set keeps them recognizably yours, but with a different first frame so the feed does not show the same shot twice.
Both use one photo as the first frame. Sume's video docs (read 2026-10-11) describe frame_images with first_frame, and list Wan 3.0 at 2 to 30 seconds.
What text goes on each clip?
Burn the text with caption cues. The captions docs (read 2026-10-11) say a clip without speech needs cues (text, start, end) rather than speech-to-captions, which would fail with caption_no_speech.
- Preorder clip, 0 to 3 s: Fresh turkeys, 12 to 24 lb. 3 to 6 s: Order by Sun Nov 22. 6 to 8 s: Pickup Mon to Wed, Nov 23 to 25.
- Last-call clip, 0 to 2 s: Last call for turkeys. 2 to 4 s: Order by Sun, Nov 22, 6 pm.
- Replace sizes, times and the cutoff with your real ones; only publish what you can fill.
What does it cost?
Wan 3.0 at 480p is $0.0625 a second on Sume, so 8 seconds is $0.50 and 4 seconds is $0.25. Each caption job is a flat $0.20 for a video up to 60 seconds. Live rates are in GET /v1/catalog.
| Clip | Wan 3.0 480p | Captions | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Preorder, 8 s | $0.50 | $0.20 | $0.70 |
| Last call, 4 s | $0.25 | $0.20 | $0.45 |
| Both | $0.75 | $0.40 | $1.15 |
What if the cutoff changes?
If you sell out early, the text is baked into the video, so rerun only the caption job on the clean clip with the new cutoff: $0.20, not the full $0.45 to $0.70. Keep the clean, caption-free file of each clip for that reason. Post the preorder clip around the start of November and the last-call clip two to three days before your cutoff. If your cutoff is Sunday Nov 22, that means posting the last-call clip on Thursday Nov 19 or Friday Nov 20, while there is still room in the cooler.
