To promote a Burns Night supper, generate one 5-second table-setting clip with Wan 3.0 at 720p (about $0.63 on Sume), then burn the booking line onto it as caption cues (a flat $0.20). The total is about $0.83 for a clip you can post on every channel. Burns Night is Monday 25 January 2027, so a pub or restaurant has a Monday-night event to fill and roughly three months to do it.

When is Burns Night 2027 and what do guests expect?

Burns Night is held every year on 25 January, the anniversary of the birth of the poet Robert Burns in 1759. In 2027 it lands on a Monday. The source below describes a supper built around haggis with neeps (mashed swede) and tatties (mashed potato), often with cock-a-leekie or Scotch broth first and cranachan or clootie dumpling for dessert, and whisky for the toasts.

That menu is your visual brief. A clip does not have to show the poetry. It has to show the table, and the cues carry the booking details.

How do you make the clip?

Ask for a candlelit supper table in a text prompt, or give a photo of your own room as the first frame. Wan 3.0 accepts durations from 2 to 30 seconds, and a 5-second clip is long enough for three cues. Sume reserves the provider list price times 1.25 at submit; Wan 3.0 lists $0.10 per second at 720p, so five seconds is $0.50 list and about $0.63 on Sume.

  • Prompt the room, not the poem: tartan runner, candles, a plated haggis, steam rising.
  • Keep the bottom third calm so the cues stay readable.
  • Use 720p for the post and keep the 1080p render for the in-venue screen.

How do you burn the booking line without speech?

A silent clip has no speech to transcribe, and speech-to-captions fails on it with caption_no_speech. Send authored text instead as cues, each with text, start and end in seconds. Sume burns that text exactly at those times, with no speech-to-text step. The video must be a public HTTPS URL, and a standalone caption job reserves and captures $0.20 for clips up to 60 seconds.

What if the booking details change?

If the start time moves or the last tables sell out, you only repeat the $0.20 cue burn on the clean clip, not the generation. Keep the clean clip's URL and treat each cue set as a cheap overlay.

Two habits keep a supper promo honest. Put the date and the weekday in the cues, because Burns Night is a Monday in 2027 and guests plan around it. And keep each cue on screen long enough to read, about a second and a half for a short line, which is why the example splits five seconds into three cues.
