100 Omni proofs, then 20 finals: two bulk queues cost $45, not $112.50
Run 100 weekly ad proofs at 360p in one Sume bulk queue, approve 20, then queue those at 1080p. Video cost: $22.50 plus $22.50 instead of $112.50.

Run the whole week as proofs first. For 100 six-second Omni ads, 360p costs $0.225 each and 1080p costs $1.125 each. Proofs for all 100 are $22.50, finals for the 20 you approve are $22.50 and the total is $45.00, against $112.50 for 100 finals.
A Sume bulk run queues up to 100 ordinary Format runs with a concurrency window of 1 to 16. A second queue holds the approved items. Video generation cost is the part counted here; Format runs also use agent time.
Queue one: 100 proofs
Post the items to POST /v1/formats/{handle}/{slug}/bulk-runs with a fresh Idempotency-Key. Each item names the hook and asks for 360p. The queue has no webhook, so poll GET /v1/format-run-queues/{id} and read counts.
A queue shows completed when every item is terminal, which is not the same as every item succeeding. Branch on counts.failed.
Queue two: the 20 you approve
Collect the run_id of each approved item from queue one's items[]. Queue two sends one item per approved run, with previous_run_id set to that run and an instruction to render at 1080p. A previous_run_id must belong to the same Format, so keep both queues on one Format.
Use a new Idempotency-Key for queue two. Replaying a spent key returns 202 with the old queue and starts nothing.
| Plan | Clips generated | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 100 finals at 1080p | 100 | $112.50 |
| 100 proofs at 360p + 20 finals at 1080p | 120 | $45.00 |
| 100 proofs at 360p + 20 finals at 720p | 120 | $30.00 |
The catch
A 360p proof is a test of the idea, not a preview of the final frame. Sume does not fix a seed across resolutions, so the 1080p take is a new generation. Budget a second final for a miss: 40 finals would make the total $67.50, still 40% under the all-finals week.
Rates are the Sume card on 2026-10-07: $0.0375 a second at 360p and $0.1875 at 1080p.
