Avatar video with a product image: +$0.01 to +$0.03 a second
Adding a product image to a Sume Avatar 1.0 video raises the per-second rate by $0.01 on standard, $0.013 on plus and $0.03 on max. Totals at 15, 30 and 60 s.
A product image costs $0.01 more per second on standard, $0.013 more on plus and $0.03 more on max. The docs say to omit product_image for a productless video (Generate avatar video), and Sume prices the two cases separately, as the table shows.
Per-second rates
| Tier | No product | With product | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| standard | $0.184 | $0.194 | $0.01 |
| plus | $0.245 | $0.258 | $0.013 |
| max | $0.55 | $0.58 | $0.03 |
Whole-video totals

| 15 s | plus | $3.675 | $3.87 | $0.195 |

| 60 s | max | $33.00 | $34.80 | $1.80 |
How to send it
product_image is a public HTTPS URL. A scene reference is separate: scene takes either a prompt or a photo URL, and does not change the rate by itself in the docs.
curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/avatar-1.0/talking-video \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: avatar-product-001" \
-d '{
"avatar_handle": "product_host",
"quality": "plus",
"product_image": "https://example.com/serum.png",
"script": "Here is why I switched to this serum."
}'Is it worth it
For a 30-second clip on plus the product image adds under 40 cents. If the product has to be visible, the surcharge is small next to the base rate. Videos run 4 to 60 seconds, so the largest extra on standard is 60 x $0.01 = $0.60. Review first frames with an avatar video preview when the composition matters.
