Android XR Play screenshots: 8:5 at 3200x2000, not 3840x2400
Play recommends 3840x2400 for Android XR, but that is 9,216,000 pixels, over the ChatGPT Image 2.5 custom-size cap. Use 3200x2000: 8:5 and under it.

Generate Android XR screenshots at 3200x2000, not 3840x2400. Play lists 3840x2400 as the recommended size (minimum 1920x1200), but that is 9,216,000 pixels and the Sume docs cap custom sizes for the ChatGPT Image 2.5 models at 8,294,400. 3200x2000 is 6,400,000 pixels and keeps the 8:5 ratio.
Play's rules for Android XR: 4 to 8 screenshots, PNG or JPEG, up to 8 MB each, 8:5 aspect ratio. The size limits are from the ChatGPT Image 2.5 section of Sume's Image models page.
Which sizes fit the Sume custom-size limits?
The docs say, for the ChatGPT Image 2.5 models, custom pixels need both edges to be multiples of 16, a maximum edge of 3840, an aspect ratio of at most 3:1, and 655,360 to 8,294,400 pixels. Checking Play's two XR sizes against that gives the table above: only the recommended 3840x2400 fails, and it fails on total pixels, not on edge length or ratio.
| Size | Pixels | Multiple of 16 | Within 655,360 to 8,294,400 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3840x2400 (Play recommended) | 9,216,000 | Yes (240 x 150) | No, over by 921,600 |
| 3200x2000 | 6,400,000 | Yes (200 x 125) | Yes |
| 1920x1200 (Play minimum) | 2,304,000 | Yes (120 x 75) | Yes |
Why not just pick an 8:5 aspect ratio?
The aspect-ratio list in the docs (1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, 3:2, 2:3, 4:5, 5:4, 1:2, 2:1, 1:4, 4:1, 1:8, 8:1, 9:21, 21:9) has no 8:5 and no 16:10. A named ratio will not get you there, so custom pixels are the route. Both 3200x2000 and 1920x1200 have edges that divide by 16 (200 x 125 and 120 x 75).
Which file format should I request?
The output_format field takes png, jpeg, webp, or svg. Play accepts PNG or JPEG for XR, so request one of those. The 8 MB limit is Play's; nothing in the Sume docs enforces it, so check each file size before upload.
What should I do if Play insists on 3840x2400?
Generate at 3200x2000 and resize in your own tooling, then look at the result before uploading. The recommended size is a recommendation; Play's stated minimum is 1920x1200, which fits the limits directly. Related: Google Play feature graphic size uses the same size checks.
