What 1,000 AI-label overlays cost on Sume: $0.02 per compose job
Timeline compose bills $0.02 flat per job and can overlay a still on a video. For 1,000 clips that is $20, by arithmetic. How to set the overlay fields.

Burning a visible "AI-generated" badge into 1,000 clips costs $20 on Sume by arithmetic: timeline compose is a flat $0.02 per job, and 1,000 times $0.02 is $20. The compose endpoint takes a still image and a video, and its overlay operation places the still over the video.
Fields that matter
The Sume docs list operation as stack or overlay, with image.url and video.url both on this workspace's media host. For overlay, position is top, center or bottom, width_ratio is 0.05 to 1 of the width, and margin_ratio is 0 to 0.45 of the height. An Idempotency-Key is required.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Price | $0.02 flat per job |
| Overlay position | top, center, bottom |
| width_ratio | 0.05-1 of width, default 0.9 |
| margin_ratio | 0-0.45 of height, default 0.05 |
| Output length | From the video layer, ceiling 300 s |
Why a visible label
The Commission's transparency code page describes a deployer section on deepfake disclosure. Whether a badge satisfies a rule depends on the rule and the content, so this is a cost post, not a compliance claim.
Caveats
The result is a new MP4 artifact, and the clip is a re-render. Audio passes through from the video. Build the badge image once and reuse its URL across all jobs.
Source clips must already be on the Sume media host; import first with POST /v1/media-imports.
