AI video credits in dollars: InVideo, Kapwing, a USD wallet
InVideo credits cost $0.015 to $0.05 each and Kapwing Pro credits $0.016 to $0.024. Sume balances are in USD, so a price reads the same on every call.

A credit is only worth the plan price divided by the credits it includes. InVideo credits work out to $0.05 each on Starter, $0.018 on Plus and $0.015 on Max (annual billing). Kapwing Pro credits are $0.024 monthly or $0.016 annual. Sume balances are in US dollars, so there is no conversion to do.
Dollars per credit
Plan price divided by included credits, from each vendor's pricing page.
| Plan | Price | Credits | USD per credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| InVideo Starter | $20 per seat per month, annual | 400 | $0.05 |
| InVideo Plus | $36 per seat per month, annual | 2,000 | $0.018 |
| InVideo Max | $75 per seat per month, annual | 5,000 | $0.015 |
| Kapwing Pro, monthly | $24 | 1,000 | $0.024 |
| Kapwing Pro, annual | $16 per month | 1,000 | $0.016 |
| Kapwing Business, monthly | $64 | 4,000 | $0.016 |
Why it matters
A credit price is not comparable until you know how many credits a task costs, and credit costs per task can change independently of the plan price. A dollar wallet removes that step: a 5-second clip on Wan 3.0 at 720p is $0.625 whatever the month.
On Sume you can read GET /v1/balance and GET /v1/usage in USD and compare them with the rate card without a lookup table.
- Multiply credits per task by dollars per credit to get a task cost.
- Compare at your own plan, since the same credit costs very different amounts across plans.
- Check whether unused credits expire before you buy a large plan.
Worked example
A task that costs 25 credits is $1.25 on InVideo Starter, $0.45 on Plus and $0.375 on Max at the rates above. The same task on Kapwing Pro costs $0.60 monthly or $0.40 annual. None of those task costs is a fact about either product; the 25 credits is a placeholder you replace with the credit cost the vendor shows for your task.
The point is the method: price per credit times credits per task, then compare with a dollar rate. When one side is already in dollars, you skip the first step and the comparison errors vanish.
Limits
Credit-based plans also bundle seats, editors and storage that a dollar balance does not, so the cheapest credit is not always the cheapest workflow. The tables show the model amount. A workspace Agent Fee line can be added on top, so treat the job's own usage cost as the truth and check the live catalog before you budget; limits and rows change.
