AI avatar video reply to a support ticket: 20-second script and cost
Send a short talking-avatar answer instead of a wall of text: one Sume avatar, a 20-second script per ticket, the request, and what 100 replies cost by tier.
To answer a support ticket with an AI avatar video, keep one ready avatar, write a script of about 20 spoken seconds that names the problem and the fix, and send it to POST /v1/avatar-1.0/talking-video. On Sume a 20-second clip costs $3.68 on standard, $4.90 on plus and $11.00 on max, before any product image. It is an async job, so the video arrives after the render, not during a live chat. Sume's avatar video docs define the route and the 4-60 second window.
What a ticket-reply script needs
A ticket reply is one scene: greet, state the cause, give one action, say what happens next. About 45 to 55 words fills 20 seconds. Keep the script free of order numbers or account details you would not want in a hosted video link, because the result is a media.sume.com URL you then paste into the ticket.
- One avatar per workflow: create it once with a stable handle, then pass
avatar_handleon every call. - Use
aspect_ratio16:9when the clip sits in a help-desk email;9:16is the default. - Send an
Idempotency-Keyper ticket id so a retried request does not create a second billed job.
Cost by quality tier
Standard is the fastest path, plus is the default when you omit quality, and max is the slowest and highest tier. The table prices one reply and a batch of 100 replies from the rate card in the price ladder post.
| Quality | USD per second | One clip | 100 clips |
|---|---|---|---|
| standard | 0.184 | $3.68 | $368.00 |
| plus | 0.245 | $4.90 | $490.00 |
| max | 0.55 | $11.00 | $1100.00 |
Request and polling
Submit, then poll the job status until it completes and read the result for the video URL. Nothing here is live: a customer who needs an answer this minute needs a person or a text reply, and the clip is the follow-up.
