$7.30 image wallet: how many images each Sume row buys
A $7.30 balance buys 294 GPT Image 2.5 low images, 166 Seedream 5 Lite, 73 Nano Banana 2.1 at 1K, 32 GPT Image 2.5 high at 4K, or 324 cutouts.

A $7.30 balance buys 294 images on GPT Image 2.5 at low quality, 166 on Seedream 5 Lite, 73 on Nano Banana 2.1 at 1K, 32 on GPT Image 2.5 at high quality and 4K, or 324 background removals, using Sume's per-image prices as of 2026-10-09. The counts below are whole images only, since Sume bills each completed image in full.
$7.30 is an arbitrary top-up size on purpose. Round budgets like $5 and $10 already have pages. This one shows how the division works, so you can do it for your own balance.
Images per $7.30, row by row
Each count is the balance divided by the per-image price, rounded down. The last column is what is left over, which is often enough for one more cheap image on a different row.
| Row | Per image | Images | Left over |
|---|---|---|---|
| GPT Image 2.5, low, 1K | $0.02475 | 294 | $0.023 |
| grok-image | $0.025 | 292 | $-0.000 |
| FLUX.2 pro | $0.0375 | 194 | $0.025 |
| Seedream 5 Lite | $0.04375 | 166 | $0.038 |
| Recraft V4 | $0.05 | 146 | $-0.000 |
| Ideogram 4.5, medium | $0.075 | 97 | $0.025 |
| Nano Banana 2.1, 1K | $0.1 | 73 | $-0.000 |
| Nano Banana 2.1, 2K | $0.15 | 48 | $0.100 |
| Nano Banana Pro, 2K | $0.1875 | 38 | $0.175 |
| GPT Image 2.5, high, 4K | $0.2225 | 32 | $0.180 |
| Nano Banana Pro, 4K | $0.375 | 19 | $0.175 |
| Background removal (RMBG) | $0.0225 | 324 | $0.010 |
| Image upscale | $0.2 | 36 | $0.100 |
How to read the table
The spread from top to bottom is large. A $7.30 balance makes 294 low-quality GPT Image 2.5 drafts, but only 19 Nano Banana Pro images at 4K. Image upscale is the steepest line, at $0.20, so 36 upscales use up the wallet, while 324 background removals fit in the same money.
A two-stage plan beats a single row. Generate 100 drafts on GPT Image 2.5 low for $2.475, which leaves $4.825. That buys 24 Nano Banana 2.1 images at 2K ($3.60), and the remaining $1.225 pays for 6 upscales ($1.20). The plan uses $7.275 of the $7.30 and delivers 100 drafts, 24 finals and 6 upscaled heroes.
Check your balance against the quote
Sume checks your balance when you submit and rounds the hold up to whole cents. A GPT Image 2.5 medium 2K image lists at $0.055625, and the hold is 6 cents. Keep a small cushion above the count you plan to run. The Image API returns the billed amount in usage.cost, and failed or cancelled jobs are not billed, so a retry after a failure does not double the charge.
To see the prices live, call GET /v1/images/models for the image rows and the public catalog for the fixed-price tools. The Image API docs explain n, which multiplies the per-image price: a call with n: 4 on Seedream 5 Lite costs $0.175.
