The short answer

Art for a 54-card deck (52 cards and two jokers, or any 54-image set) at 2:3 costs between $1.35 and $5.40 on Sume, depending on the model. The cheapest rows that list 2:3 are qwen-image at $0.025 per image ($1.35 for 54) and flux-2-pro at $0.0375 ($2.03). seedream-5-lite is $0.04375 ($2.36). Nano Banana 2.1 at 1K is $0.10 ($5.40).

Who lists 2:3

2:3 is the usual playing-card and trading-card proportion. The repo's image catalog lists 2:3 for Nano Banana 2.1 and Pro, the Seedream rows, Ideogram, and the Flux, Qwen and Recraft rows. Imagen lists only five ratios, and GPT Image 2.5's named list stops at 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, 5:4, 9:8 and 4:5.

GPT Image 2.5 at 2:3

GPT Image 2.5 does not list 2:3 among its named ratios, but it takes a custom image_size when both edges are multiples of 16, the longest edge is at most 3840, the ratio is at most 3:1 and the total is 655,360 to 8,294,400 pixels. 1024 x 1536 is exactly 2:3 and passes: 1,572,864 pixels, and both edges divide by 16 (64 and 96). Its price depends on quality and size, so quote it first.

Planning the deck

A deck needs a consistent look more than a low price. Fix the style sentence and reuse it in all 54 prompts, changing only the subject line. Run a pilot of six cards, one per suit or type, before you start the full set, and look at the six side by side.

Budget for retries. If one card in five is redone, 54 cards become about 65 calls, and the table figures scale by the same factor. At $0.04375 per call on Seedream 5 Lite that adds about $0.48 for 11 extra images.

Keeping a deck consistent

A deck needs one look across 54 images. Use the same model, the same style sentence at the start of every prompt, and the same ratio. If you have a finished card you like, send it as an input reference so later cards follow its style; the docs list how many references each model takes, and GET /v1/images/models returns the live limit.

Card text and numbers are best added in your own layout tool. Image models can misspell small lettering, and a fixed template makes the 54 cards uniform. A draft pass on the 2.5-cent row costs $1.35 and shows which prompts work before you spend more.

Do the card-back and the frame as separate prompts. A back that is the same for all 54 cards needs one image, not 54, and adds one call to the bill.

For print, check the final pixel size against the printer's spec. A standard card at 300 dpi is about 750 x 1050 px, so a 1024 x 1536 render has room to spare.
