$50 of video: 1,111 seconds at Vidu Q4 540P, 133 at Sume Omni 4K
How many seconds of AI video $50 buys at Vidu Q4 Preview's 540P and 4K rates, with and without 30% off, and at five Sume rows.

Fifty dollars in seconds
$50 buys 1,111 seconds of Vidu Q4 Preview at the 540P list price of $0.045 per second, or 128 seconds at the 4K list price of $0.39. On Sume, which does not list Vidu, the same $50 buys 133 seconds of Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 4K ($0.375 per second) or 400 seconds at 720p ($0.125). The table divides $50 by each rate and rounds down to whole seconds.
The table
Seconds are $50 divided by the per-second rate. Real jobs round to whole seconds and respect each model's minimum length, so treat these as ceilings.
| Row | $/s | Seconds for $50 |
|---|---|---|
| Vidu Q4, 540P, list | $0.045 | 1111 s |
| Vidu Q4, 540P image/reference-to-video, 30% off | $0.0315 | 1587 s |
| Vidu Q4, 4K, list | $0.39 | 128 s |
| Vidu Q4, 4K image/reference-to-video, 30% off | $0.273 | 183 s |
| Sume gemini-omni-flash-1.1, 720p | $0.125 | 400 s |
| Sume gemini-omni-flash-1.1, 4K | $0.375 | 133 s |
| Sume wan-3.0, 1080p | $0.25 | 200 s |
| Sume seedance-2, 1080p | $0.8505 | 59 s |
| Sume seedance-2.5, 720p | $0.5778 | 87 s |
Turning seconds into tests
A test plan usually fails on takes, not seconds. If a candidate needs three takes per shot and the shots are 5 seconds, each shot costs 15 seconds of output. $50 then covers 74 shots at Vidu's 540P list rate (1,111 / 15), 8 shots at Vidu's 4K list rate (128 / 15), and 8 shots at Omni 4K (133 / 15). That is why a cheap resolution is the right place to find a prompt, and the expensive one is for the take you keep.
Sume enforces a minimum billed length on some rows, for example 4 seconds on Seedance 2.5, so very short probes cost slightly more than the rate suggests.
Suggested split
Spend the first $10 finding the prompt at a low tier, then the next $40 on the delivery tier. On Sume that means Omni or Wan at 720p for exploration (80 seconds per $10 at $0.125) and the 1080p or 4K tier for the keeper. Vidu's discount runs to November 30, so any trial of it should be scheduled inside that window; see the test-batch planner.
The same $50 in 5-second single-take shots
Another way to read the budget is shots kept. At 5 seconds and one take each, $50 divided by the cost of one shot gives these counts, rounded down:
- Vidu Q4 at 540P list: 5 x $0.045 = $0.225 per shot, 222 shots.
- Wan 3.0 at 1080p: 5 x $0.25 = $1.25 per shot, 40 shots.
- Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 4K: 5 x $0.375 = $1.875 per shot, 26 shots.
- Seedance 2.0 at 1080p: 5 x $0.8505 = $4.2525 per shot, 11 shots.
