50 avatars for $47.50: Sume's creation fee is half a 10-second clip

Sume avatar creation is $0.95 each, so 50 avatars cost $47.50. A single 10-second Plus clip is $2.45 and a Standard one is $1.84, so creation is a small share.

Avatar creation is $0.95 per avatar on the Sume rate card, so 50 avatars is $47.50. A 10-second Standard clip with no product is $1.84, so the creation fee is 52% of one clip.

Creation share of total cost

Per avatar, the creation fee matters only if you make a clip once. Over several clips it vanishes.

Reuse

The Avatar docs describe creating an avatar from a prompt or a profile photo. Reusing an avatar costs nothing extra; only the per-second video price applies.

Worked example and checks

The fixed cost is small, but the variable cost can be large. 50 avatars with 30 clips of 10 seconds each on Standard is 50 x 30 x $1.84 = $2,760 of video against $47.50 of creation, so creation is 1.7% of the project.

If you only need one clip per persona, the creation fee is 52% of a Standard 10-second clip's cost per avatar, and at Max ($5.50 per 10 s) 17%. Reuse the avatars you can and create only the ones you will use more than once.

Retries

Creation is not likeness insurance. If a first avatar is not right, a second creation is billed as new. Try a few before scaling to 50. Sume bills model and tool usage at the published rate on top of the plan fee, so the plan price is separate from every number in this post.
