Five 60-second Standard avatar jobs without a product are 300 seconds x $0.184 = $55.20. Rendering the 5-minute result through Timeline is 5 x $0.10 = $0.50. The total is $55.70.

By tier

Plus and Max change only the avatar line; the render fee stays the same.

Why five jobs

A single Sume avatar job accepts a limited duration, so a 5-minute video is several jobs you stitch together. The Timeline docs cover assembly with an audio spine and ordered video slots.

Worked example and checks

Splitting the script is the real work. Five 60-second parts need five scripts that end at natural breaks, so the cut points are invisible. If the audio spine is a single TTS read, the voice costs 5 minutes of text, roughly 4,500 characters at 900 per minute (an estimate), or about $0.21 at $0.0475 per 1,000 characters.

That makes the sum a useful budget line for explainers: avatar $55.20, render $0.50, an optional $0.21 for separate voice, and $0.20 for captions, about $56.11 for five minutes. Avatar seconds are 98% of it.

What else to add

If the avatar must exist first, add $0.95. If you add captions, add $0.20 per caption job. Retakes are billed as new jobs. Sume bills model and tool usage at the published rate on top of the plan fee, so the plan price is separate from every number in this post.
