A 60-second vertical Shorts ad built from six 10-second Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 clips costs $7.60 at 720p and $11.35 at 1080p on Sume, with the $0.10 Timeline render included. Google's help page lists Shorts ads at under 60 seconds recommended.

That makes 60 seconds the top of the range, so 45 seconds from five clips is cheaper and also fits the guidance.

Length against cost

The Google Ads help page gives YouTube Shorts ads as under 60 seconds recommended, skippable by swiping, and billed on CPV, target CPM or engagement. Each clip below is 10 seconds in 9:16.

Keeping six clips looking like one ad

Independent clips drift in lighting, colour and product shape. Three habits help:

  • Pass the same product image as a reference in every clip.
  • Repeat one fixed style phrase in every prompt: the light, the surface, the lens.
  • Cut on motion and use a short Timeline fade, up to one second, between clips.
  • Put the offer in as caption text, not as drawn text.

Reading the table

If you cut to 45 seconds with five clips, it is $9.48 at 1080p and $6.35 at 720p. The Timeline render is one billed minute for any length up to 60 seconds, so the clips are the cost.

A retry is a single 10-second clip: $1.25 at 720p and $1.88 at 1080p. Plan one retry in the budget.

Limits

Sume does not upload to YouTube or Google Ads, and it does not check an ad against Google's policies. The page I read lists no complete aspect-ratio table, so confirm the Shorts ad requirements before export.

Sound is whatever Omni generates for each clip, so the join can jump between rooms. Lay one music bed over all six in Timeline with ducking if the clips carry speech-like noise. Rates are the Sume card on 2026-10-07.
