4K Omni clip: $1.25 draft at 720p, $3.75 for the 4K final
A 10-second Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 clip costs $1.25 at 720p and $3.75 at 4K on Sume. Five drafts and one final is $10.00, against $22.50 for six 4K takes.

A 10-second Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 clip costs $1.25 at 720p and $3.75 at 4K on Sume. Draft the prompt at 720p, pick the best, then spend $3.75 on the 4K version: five drafts and one final is $10.00, against $22.50 for six 4K takes.
There is one catch. Sume video has no seed, so the 4K render is a new take, not an upscale of the draft. The draft tells you whether the prompt works, not what the final will look like.
The arithmetic
Omni's provider list is $0.03, $0.10, $0.15 and $0.30 a second at 360p, 720p, 1080p and 4K. Sume bills list x 1.25: $0.0375, $0.125, $0.1875 and $0.375. For 10 seconds that is $0.375, $1.25, $1.875 and $3.75, and Sume rounds the total up to the cent.
| Resolution | Provider list per second | Sume per second (x 1.25) | 10 seconds |
|---|---|---|---|
| 360p | $0.03 | $0.0375 | $0.375, rounded up to $0.38 |
| 720p | $0.10 | $0.125 | $1.25 |
| 1080p | $0.15 | $0.1875 | $1.875, rounded up to $1.88 |
| 4K | $0.30 | $0.375 | $3.75 |
The three-step loop
Run the same prompt at 720p a few times, choose the take with the best motion and audio, then send the prompt once at 4K. Keep Idempotency-Key unique per take so each request is a distinct job, and reuse a key only when you retry the same request.

-d '{"model":"gemini-omni-flash-1.1","prompt":"Macro shot of rain on a green leaf, shallow depth of field","resolution":"4K","duration":10,"aspect_ratio":"16:9"}'When a draft does not help
If your prompt relies on fine detail, a 720p draft cannot show it. In that case, do one 1080p draft at $1.88 instead of five at 720p. Motion, pacing and sound show at 720p. Texture does not.
The same loop with another model is in the 480p draft and 1080p final post.
Budget
Five 720p drafts plus one 4K final is 5 x $1.25 + $3.75 = $10.00. Six 4K takes is 6 x $3.75 = $22.50. The loop saves $12.50 per shot, as long as the draft really does predict the pick.
Keep a record of each take
Since a final is a new take, save what you learn from drafts in a short log.
- Prompt text, resolution and duration for every job.
- The job id and
