31-second driver is over Kling Motion Control's 30 s limit
Kling 3.0 Motion Control accepts 1 to 30 seconds at $0.1575 per second. Trim a 31 second driver to 30 and the job costs $4.725.

Kling 3.0 Motion Control on Sume accepts a driving video of 1 to 30 seconds. At $0.1575 per output second, a 30 second job costs 30 x $0.1575 = $4.725. A 31 second driver is outside the range, so trim one second first; the 31 seconds would have cost $4.8825.
How the price is set
The API pricing page lists the route as kling/3.0/motion-control, priced per ceil(motion video second) at the standard margin on a $0.126 provider list: $0.126 x 1.25 = $0.1575. Output length follows the driving video, so the driver's length sets the bill.
| Driving video | Billable seconds | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 0.4 s | 1 | $0.1575 |
| 7.2 s | 8 | $1.26 |
| 15 s | 15 | $2.3625 |
| 29.01 s | 30 | $4.725 |
| 30 s | 30 | $4.725 |
| 31 s | Outside the 1-30 s range | Trim first |
Trimming the driver
Use Video trim at $0.02 per job to cut the driver. Trimming 31 seconds to 30 costs $0.02 and the 30 second job is $4.725, so the pair is $4.745. The Models overview lists trim as a flat $0.02 job that takes a hosted clip and returns a new MP4.
Watch the rounding: 29.01 seconds is billed as 30. If a driver is 30.4 seconds, trimming to 30.0 is the only way to enter the range.
Cost of a series
A batch of 40 drivers of 12 seconds is 40 x 12 x $0.1575 = $75.60. Ten drivers of exactly 30 seconds is $47.25. Because the unit is the motion video second, shortening the reference is the lever that moves the bill.
What a trim does to a batch
Trimming 25 drivers of 31 seconds to 30 seconds costs 25 x $0.02 = $0.50 in trims. The motion jobs cost 25 x $4.725 = $118.125. The total is $118.625. Without the trim the jobs would be refused, so the $0.50 is not an optional saving but the entry fee.
If you can shorten the driver further, the saving is larger. A 20 second driver costs $3.15, which is $1.575 less than a 30 second driver.
- Rate: $0.1575 per output second.
- Range: 1 to 30 seconds.
- Trim is flat $0.02 per job.
Checking before you submit
Measure the driver with the inspect route or your own tooling, then compute ceil(seconds) x $0.1575. If the number is above $4.725, the driver is out of range. Do not rely on rounding down: a 30.2 second driver is billed as 31 seconds and is outside the window.
