12-second ad: Omni stops at 10 s, so H3 at 768p is $0.90
Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 tops out at 10 seconds. A 12-second ad is one MiniMax H3 job at $0.90 (768p) or two 6-second Omni clips at $1.50 on Sume.

A 12-second ad cannot come from Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 in one take, because Omni accepts 3-10 seconds. On Sume, one MiniMax H3 job at 768p gives 12 seconds for 12 x $0.075 = $0.90, and two 6-second Omni clips at 720p cost 2 x $0.75 = $1.50 before you join them.
Prices are from the Sume price tool (read 2026-10-09). The question here is not which model looks better, but what the length limit does to the bill.
Three ways to reach 12 seconds
The single MiniMax job is the cheapest on both counts, and it needs no join. The Omni route buys you a different look and 4K headroom, at a higher price and one more step.
| Route | Jobs | Rate per second | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| MiniMax H3 768p, one 12 s job | 1 | $0.075 | $0.90 |
| MiniMax H3 Max 768p, one 12 s job | 1 | $0.10 | $1.20 |
| MiniMax H3 Max 1080p, one 12 s job | 1 | $0.20 | $2.40 |
| Gemini Omni Flash 720p, two 6 s clips | 2 | $0.125 | $1.50 |
| Gemini Omni Flash 1080p, two 6 s clips | 2 | $0.1875 | $2.25 |
What to check before you pick
For a 12-second MiniMax job, the body is the same as any Video Router call with "duration": 12.
- Aspect ratio: Omni makes only 16:9 or 9:16. MiniMax lists more shapes, including 1:1, so square needs MiniMax.
- Edit: only Omni can edit an existing clip with
video_url. If the ad needs a post-hoc edit, plan the Omni route. - Duration floor: MiniMax needs 5 seconds at least, so a 12-second ad is fine but a 3-second sting is not.
- Joining: two clips need a cut, which is an extra step and an extra cost to add to your estimate.

}Prices around 12 seconds
The MiniMax price moves one rate step per second, so an ad that runs a second long or short changes the bill by $0.075 on H3 at 768p. Past 15 seconds a single MiniMax job is no longer possible and you need two.
| Length | Price |
|---|---|
| 10 s | $0.75 |
| 11 s | $0.825 |
| 12 s | $0.90 |
| 13 s | $0.975 |
| 15 s | $1.125 |
Limits and gotchas
Asking Omni for 12 seconds is refused at the duration limit, so do not rely on a retry to fix it. H3 and H3 Max reserve the full price at submit, so a 12-second job reserves the full total shown above.
