WaveSpeed levels come from one top-up; Sume concurrency is plan-only
WaveSpeed sets Bronze to Ultra by a single top-up amount. On Sume a top-up never raises concurrency; the plan does (1, 4, 8, 20). What that means for budgets.

On WaveSpeed, your account level depends on the size of a single top-up: Bronze by default, Silver for any successful top-up below $1,000, Gold for one of $1,000 to $4,999, and Ultra for one of $5,000 or more. On Sume, a top-up never changes your concurrency; only your plan does, at 1, 4, 8 or 20 running jobs.
So the same question, how much parallel video can I run, is answered by how you load money on WaveSpeed and by which plan you hold on Sume. Here is what each page says, read on 2026-10-11.
What WaveSpeed's page says
The WaveSpeedAI pricing page (read 2026-10-11) says it is pay-per-use with no monthly fee or commitment. Its video rates are per second: Seedance 2.5 at $0.18, Seedance 2.0 at $0.12, Wan 3.0 at $0.05, MiniMax H3 at $0.04 and InfiniteTalk at $0.03. New eligible accounts get $1 in free credits.
The account level wording is: Bronze (default), Silver (any successful top-up below $1,000), Gold (a single successful top-up of $1,000 to $4,999) and Ultra (a single successful top-up of $5,000 or more). It adds that a top-up upgrades only to the tier chosen by that single top-up amount, and that existing higher or restricted levels are preserved. The page does not list rate limits or concurrency numbers per level; the enterprise section only mentions higher GPU limits.
What Sume's docs say
Sume's Generation admission page says generation concurrency is plan-only and that prepaid top-ups do not increase the processing concurrency limit. Admin overrides can raise the effective limit for contracts, and the dashboard Concurrency tab is the source of truth.
The plan numbers come from the same page and the pricing catalog in the repo: Free runs 1 job, Pro ($40 a month) runs 4, Startup ($120) runs 8 and Scale ($400) runs 20. Jobs beyond that are accepted as queued up to the queue capacity, which defaults to the larger of 3 and five times the concurrency.
Side by side
| Question | WaveSpeed | Sume |
|---|---|---|
| What sets your level | Size of one top-up | Your plan |
| Smallest top-up that changes it | Silver: any successful top-up below $1,000 | None; a top-up never changes concurrency |
| Highest level | Ultra: one top-up of $5,000 or more | Scale 20 running; Enterprise default 20, higher by override |
| Concurrency numbers published | Not on the pricing page | 1 / 4 / 8 / 20 plus queue capacity |
| Monthly fee | None | Free $0, Pro $40, Startup $120, Scale $400 |
Why the split matters for a budget
With a top-up-based level, one large payment can raise your tier, but the page says only the single top-up amount counts, so ten $500 top-ups are not the same as one $5,000 top-up. Plan that payment size deliberately if you need a higher level.
With a plan-based limit, you can add $1,000 to a Sume balance and still run 4 jobs at once on Pro. If a 100-job batch is the problem, the answer is the queue: Pro accepts 24 (4 running, 20 queued), so a batch of 100 needs submissions spread over time or a higher plan. Startup accepts 48 and Scale accepts 120.
Which to choose
Choose WaveSpeed's style if you want no recurring fee and are happy to size a single deposit, and confirm the actual limits for your level with them since the page does not print them. Choose Sume if you want a published concurrency table, a 429 queue_full signal with retry-after, and one /v1/videos route across models.
