480p to 1080p price multiplier: Seedance 5.29x, Wan 4x, Omni 5x
Going from the lowest to 1080p costs 5.29 times more on Seedance 2.5, 4 times on Wan 3.0, 5 times on Gemini Omni Flash (360p) and 3.2 times on MiniMax H3 Max.

Moving from each model's lowest resolution to 1080p multiplies the per-second price by 5.29 on Seedance 2.5, 4.00 on Wan 3.0, 5.00 on Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 (from 360p), 4.84 on Seedance 2.0 and 3.20 on MiniMax H3 Max. The 480p-to-720p and 720p-to-1080p steps differ by model, which is where the surprise sits.
Prices on this page are Sume list prices as of 2026-10-08: the provider list price times 1.25, computed from Sume's pricing package and billed per output second, linear in duration inside each model's valid range. The model ids, ranges and input types come from the Video generation docs and the Video Router docs; the per-second numbers can be cross-checked in the public catalog.
Step by step
Each step is the higher tier's rate divided by the lower tier's. Seedance 2.5 climbs 2.15 times from 480p to 720p ($0.5778 / $0.268677) and 2.46 times from 720p to 1080p ($1.42155 / $0.5778). Wan 3.0 doubles at each step. Omni goes 3.33 times from 360p to 720p, then only 1.5 times to 1080p, then doubles again to 4K.
| Model | Low tier | Mid step | 1080p step | Low to 1080p |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.5 | 480p $0.268677 | 720p ×2.15 | ×2.46 | ×5.29 |
| Seedance 2.0 | 480p $0.17577 | 720p ×2.15 | ×2.25 | ×4.84 |
| Wan 3.0 | 480p $0.0625 | 720p ×2 | ×2 | ×4 |
| MiniMax H3 Max | 480p $0.0625 | 768p ×1.6 | ×2 | ×3.2 |
| Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 | 360p $0.0375 | 720p ×3.33 | ×1.5 | ×5 |
What to do with the multipliers
Use the multiplier to decide how much to spend on drafts. A draft at the low tier costs 1/4 of a Wan 3.0 1080p final, 1/5.29 of a Seedance 2.5 final. At 8 s the Seedance 2.5 numbers are $2.149416, $4.6224 and $11.3724; the Wan 3.0 numbers are $0.50, $1.00 and $2.00.
Omni's cheap step is 720p to 1080p: a 50 percent increase for 2.25 times the pixels. Seedance 2.5's steepest step is the last one, so 720p is the usual stopping point unless the clip is the hero.
Scaling this plan up or down
As a yardstick, the plan above is built on Seedance 2.5 at 1080p, $1.42155 per second. Each extra 5 seconds adds $7.10775, a further $10 of budget buys 7 more whole seconds, and the largest single job the model accepts (30 s) holds $42.6465 at submit. The shortest one (4 s) holds $5.6862.
Those three numbers are enough to rescale the plan without a new table. If the plan doubles, double the totals; if a clip is shortened, subtract the seconds multiplied by the rate; and if the tier changes, swap the rate for the one in the tables above.
- Per second: $1.42155
- Per 5 s: $7.10775
- Per 10 s: $14.2155
- Per 30 s or the model maximum (30 s): $42.6465
Check the model's fields first
Before a run, ask GET /v1/videos/models for the model and compare three fields with your plan: supported_durations (every clip length must be listed), supported_resolutions (the tier must be listed, since MiniMax H3 has 768p and no 1080p, and Omni has 360p and 4K) and supported_aspect_ratios. A request outside those lists fails at validation, so the failure costs nothing, but a plan built on a wrong assumption costs a rewrite.
Submitting
Submit through POST /v1/videos with model, prompt, duration in whole seconds and resolution; read GET /v1/videos/models first, because supported_durations and supported_resolutions differ per model. Sume reserves the price at submit and usage.cost on the poll response is the billable amount, so the figures here are what leaves the balance.
