YouTube Shorts hook generator: what Sume does and does not do
Sume has no hook-generator button. It can test a 3-second opener for $0.1125 on Gemini Omni Flash. Five variants cost $0.5625.

People search for a Shorts hook generator. Sume does not ship a tool by that name, and this post will not pretend otherwise. What it ships is a way to test an opener cheaply: write the first line, render three seconds, look at it.
The model choice sets the test price. Rates are from the repo's estimators, read 2026-10-07.
Price of a 3-second opener
| Model | Settings | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 | 360p, $0.0375 per second | $0.1125 |
| Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 | 720p, $0.125 per second | $0.375 |
| Wan 3.0 | 720p, $0.125 per second, minimum 2 s | $0.25 for 2 s |
| Grok Imagine | 8 s, 720p | $0.10 |
A cheap test loop
Omni Flash takes 3 to 10 seconds, 9:16 or 16:9, and always makes synced audio. At 360p, five opener variants are $0.5625. Pick the best, then spend the 720p price once. The 360p preview shows framing and motion; it will not show final texture, so judge the line and the first frame, not the finish.
