YouTube: AI podcast hosts giving financial advice and monetizing
YouTube lists AI-generated podcast hosts offering financial guidance, investment tips or wealth management advice as not allowed to monetize.
YouTube's policy on AI personas related to sensitive topics lists AI-generated podcast hosts offering financial guidance, investment tips, or wealth management advice as content that is not allowed to monetize. The policy applies to personas presented as a human expert on topics such as finances.

What does the finance example say?
The page's own wording, shortened, is in the table.
| Item | Page wording |
|---|---|
| Sensitive topics | Health, legal issues, finances, or politics |
| Finance example | AI-generated podcast hosts offering financial guidance, investment tips, or wealth management advice |
| Consequence stated | Channels uploading this content will not be allowed to monetize |
Is an audio-only host different from an avatar video?
The policy example is about the host being an AI persona, not about the file type. In Sume, an avatar video is a script-driven talking video made from a ready avatar, with optional burned-in captions, per the avatar video docs. Audio detach is a different tool: it takes one workspace media.sume.com video and returns a new audio artifact, leaving the video untouched.
Pulling audio out of an avatar clip for a podcast feed does not change who or what the host is. Judge the content by the policy text.
What should a finance channel do?
Compare each script with the policy's list before you generate anything. Scripts must stay within 4-60 seconds estimated duration for Sume avatar videos, so long shows are split into clips; that is a tool limit, not a policy question. For marketing-style finance video, see financial advisor video marketing.
