Where is Seedance 2.5 in the Sume app? Not in the Videos picker
The Sume Videos page picker lists Auto, Video 1.0, Kling 3.0, Wan 3.0, MiniMax H3, H3 Max and Grok Imagine. Seedance 2.5 is an API catalog id. How to call it.

Seedance 2.5 does not appear in the model picker on the Sume Videos page. The picker offers Auto, Sume Video 1.0 (retiring), Kling 3.0, Wan 3.0, MiniMax H3, MiniMax H3 Max and Grok Imagine. Seedance 2.5 is a catalog id you call through /v1/videos or the Video Router by naming seedance-2.5.
What the picker offers
The list comes from VIDEO_MODEL_OPTIONS in the Agents videos controls on main. Auto is the default and is described as Video Router choosing the serving model. In the API, Auto resolves to Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 for text, frame and reference requests, so you reach Omni from the page without picking it.
| Model | In the page picker | In /v1/videos catalog |
|---|---|---|
| Auto (sume/auto) | Yes, default | Accepted as model, not listed |
| Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 | Through Auto | gemini-omni-flash-1.1 |
| Seedance 2.5 | No | seedance-2.5 |
| Wan 3.0 | Yes | wan-3.0 |
| Kling 3.0 | Yes | kling-3 |
| MiniMax H3 / H3 Max | Yes | minimax-h3 / minimax-h3-max |
| Grok Imagine | Yes | grok-imagine-video-1.5 |
Calling Seedance 2.5 directly
Send the catalog id as model. The limits differ from the picker models, so read them from the catalog: 4 to 30 seconds, 480p, 720p or 1080p, six fixed aspect ratios, and image, video and audio references. The answer to a submit is a 202 with a job id and a polling_url.
curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/videos \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"model":"seedance-2.5","prompt":"A paper boat drifting down a rainy street at dusk","duration":8,"resolution":"720p","aspect_ratio":"16:9"}'Why the two lists differ
The page's controls are a product surface with its own per-model option sets. The API catalog is generated from the Video Router capability records and is the contract for developers. Other Sume surfaces in the repo reference Seedance too, such as the ad and remix tools, so absence from this one picker does not mean the model is unavailable on the platform.
Check the live list with GET /v1/videos/models. If you plan around a model that has just launched elsewhere, read what Sume lists today before you commit.
What to do if you want Seedance in a workflow
Call the API from a script, an automation tool or an agent. Agents on Sume use the generate_video tool, which takes the same payload as POST /v1/videos; when it is called without a model it defaults to sume/auto, so name seedance-2.5 in the call when you want it. The result lands as a job you can poll like any other.
If you only need the picker experience, Wan 3.0 is the closest page option for long clips (up to 30 s) and for reference inputs.
