What an AI video budget buys on Sume: seconds and length by model
How many seconds of video a budget buys on each Sume model, and the longest clip each model makes under a per-clip price ceiling, at 720p and 1080p.

Every video model on Sume has its own per-second rate at each resolution, so the same budget buys very different lengths: the cheapest and the dearest row differ several times over. The table gives the seconds a budget buys, and the longest clip under a per-clip ceiling, for every case these posts priced.
Worked example: What $10 buys in 720p AI video seconds on Sume, by model
With $10 you can generate about 133 seconds of MiniMax H3 at 768p, or about 17 seconds of Seedance 2.5. The spread between the cheapest and the dearest Sume video row at this tier is 7.8 to 1.
Seconds per budget
Rates are the Sume price per output second (provider list times 1.25) at a 10-second clip, read 2026-10-09. Seconds are the budget divided by the rate, rounded down. This ignores each model's minimum and maximum clip length, which the next table shows.
| Model | Resolution | Rate per second | Seconds for $10 | Clip range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MiniMax H3 | 768p | $0.0750 | 133 | 5 to 15 s |
| MiniMax H3 Max | 768p | $0.1000 | 100 | 5 to 15 s |
| Wan 3.0 | 720p | $0.1250 | 80 | 2 to 30 s |
| Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 | 720p | $0.1250 | 80 | 3 to 10 s |
| Seedance 2.5 | 720p | $0.5780 | 17 | 4 to 30 s |
Reading it
Seconds are not shots. A 5-second shot on MiniMax H3 costs $0.38, so the same $10 covers 26 such shots; each clip price is rounded up to a whole cent.
Sume reserves the full clip price when you submit and answers 402 insufficient_credits if the balance cannot cover it, so a budget this size is also the largest single job you can start.

More in Pricing
- How Sume pricing works: plans, one wallet, published model rates
Sume plans set access and concurrency. Usage draws from one prepaid wallet at each model's published USD rate, for generation, the Agent, Formats, and the API.
- AI avatar video API pricing: cost per second and per minute
Sume bills AI avatar video per second by quality tier, with separate rates when you send a product image. Per-minute costs for standard, plus, and max.
- AI video generation cost per video: what one Sume API run cost
To see what one Sume run or video job cost, call GET /v1/usage with run_id or job_id and read debited_usd: the wallet deduction, agent turns included.
- Do failed AI video generations cost credits? Reserve, capture, refund
No. Sume reserves a job's estimated USD cost at submit, captures usage only on completion, and releases or refunds the hold if the job fails or is canceled.
