TikTok Shop main image: no text, borders or stickers checklist
TikTok Shop wants a clean main image: white background, no watermarks, borders, promo text or stickers, 5+ images for Good. A checklist for AI-made images.

For the TikTok Shop main product image, the listing-quality page asks for a white background, nothing added on top (no watermarks, borders, promo text or stickers), no graphics covering the product, and over 600x600 pixels. Five or more images get the "Good" tier. Image generators love to add text and frames, so check every output against the list.
The checklist
| Check | Pass condition |
|---|---|
| Resolution | Over 600x600 px |
| Background | White (recommended) |
| Watermark | None on the main image |
| Border | None |
| Promo text | None |
| Stickers | None |
| Overlay graphics | Nothing covering the product |
| Image count | 5 or more for the Good tier |
| Mosaic | Max 9 images |
| Duplicates | No duplicate images; avoid template sets with identical poses or backgrounds |
| Renderings | "Digital renderings are prohibited" |
Where generated images help
The identical-pose warning matters for batches. If you generate a set from one prompt, the images share a pose and background, which is the pattern the page says to avoid. Vary the angle, crop and setting on purpose.
Sume's Image API returns n of 1 to 4 images per request. The docs list aspect_ratio values that include 1:1. The catalog publishes which parameters each model accepts, and a parameter that a model does not list gets 400 unsupported_parameter rather than being silently dropped.
Catching the usual defects
- Text baked into the image (a slogan, a price tag, a badge): reject it.
- A frame or vignette around the product: crop it out or regenerate.
- A logo or watermark in a corner: reject it.
- A cluttered background: regenerate on white, or use a real photo for the hero.
- Several outputs with the same pose: keep one and change the rest.
Batch review
Review images in a grid. Defects that are easy to miss one by one, such as a faint corner mark or a repeated pose, stand out when nine images sit side by side. The page caps a mosaic at 9 images, so a 3 by 3 grid is also a preview of the limit.
Reject or regenerate by rule, not by taste: any item in the checklist that fails removes the image from the main slot. Keep the rejected set so you can see which prompts produce text or frames and change them.
A note on scope
Nothing here is a Sume guarantee that an image passes TikTok review. The page lists requirements, and the review decision belongs to TikTok. The page also has no video specifications, so the checklist covers images only.

audio_url_required means the timeline has no audio.url, no audio.parts and no mode. Add a spine, or set audio.mode to silence with a duration_seconds.
