Shop Creative Hub limits: 50 per upload, 10k a month, batch math

Creative Hub for GMV Max takes 50 videos per upload and 10k a month. What that means for Sume bulk queues of 100, and where the 200-video link cap bites.

Shop Creative Hub accepts up to 50 videos in each upload and has an upload limit of 10k videos per month, and you can start product linking for up to 200 videos per product (TikTok Ads Help, read 2026-10-03). A Sume bulk queue holds up to 100 Format runs, so one queue fills two hub uploads, and the monthly cap equals 100 full queues.

That arithmetic only holds if one run yields one finished video. Treat the numbers below as ceilings, not a plan: your real limits are spend and review time.

What exactly does the hub cap?

The hub page describes three limits and some reporting. Frame-by-frame metrics (Clicks, Conversions, Retain, Dropoff) and bulk export of data are listed too, which is useful when you need to know which variant earned its slot.

  • The page says the hub helps you manage existing creatives and create new content for your ads.
  • Authorization status is tracked on the final day of the selected date range.
  • Metrics can be exported in bulk.

How do I size a queue to the hub?

POST /v1/formats/{handle}/{slug}/bulk-runs takes concurrency (1 to 16) and items (1 to 100). Each item has the same body as a single run. Replay-safe batches need a fresh Idempotency-Key; replaying a spent key returns the old queue.

Keep the item list in groups of 50 on your side so each finished group maps to one hub upload. The queue itself does not know about the hub.

curl -sS -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/formats/sume/sume-video-hook/bulk-runs \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
  -d '{"concurrency":4,"items":[
    {"instruction":"hook A: price drop, SKU 1001","generation_spend_cap_usd":10},
    {"instruction":"hook B: gift angle, SKU 1001","generation_spend_cap_usd":10}]}'

Where do the limits bite first?

Two limits are worth planning around. First, the 200-video product-linking cap is per product: 200 variants of one SKU is a lot more than you can review, so decide how many hooks per SKU you will test before you queue anything.

Second, a queue that shows completed is not a queue that succeeded. Every item is terminal, so branch on counts.failed and requeue only the failed rows before you upload a group.

What Sume does not do

Sume does not upload to the hub, link products, or read hub metrics. The hub step is manual in TikTok's UI. Name your files with the SKU and hook id so that the hub's export can be matched back to the queue item that produced each clip.
