TikTok 60-minute uploads vs Sume's 30-minute source limit

Sociality.io reports TikTok uploads up to 60 minutes. Sume trims and Timelines stop at 1800 seconds (30 minutes). What fits, and the cut points for the rest.

Sociality.io reports that TikTok accepts uploads up to 60 minutes and in-app recordings up to 10 minutes. Sume's media tools have a lower ceiling, so a full 60-minute file cannot go through them in one piece.

The Sume ceilings

Every ceiling here is from the Sume docs: video trim accepts a source of up to 1800 seconds and writes up to 900 seconds; Timeline 1.0 accepts a spine of 1 to 1800 seconds; video inspect reads sources up to 1800 seconds.

What to do with a long video

Cut the 60-minute file into two 30-minute halves before it reaches Sume (any tool you control), then trim each half. A 30-minute output needs two trim jobs of 900 seconds or less, $0.02 each.

Where Sume fits

Most TikTok formats that sell are far shorter. The practical use of the limit is planning: pick the segment, trim it, caption it and publish it.
