Suno names Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe as industry partners on v6, and its BMG post calls v6 its first music model developed with the music industry. Suno's own pages date the Warner partnership to November 25, 2025, the BMG partnership to August 12, 2026, and the v6 announcement to September 9, 2026. A partnership announcement does not by itself clear any individual track for your ad; check Suno's terms for your plan.

The dates, from Suno's pages

The Warner Music Group partnership post is dated November 25, 2025 and says Suno will build new models using licensed music and that a paid account will be required to download songs. The BMG post is dated August 12, 2026. The Introducing v6 post names Warner, BMG and Believe as industry partners (it does not spell out their roles) and says Suno will retire previous models and move entirely onto v6.

The model family

The help centre page on current models lists three: v6 for Pro and Premier, v6-wild for the same plans with less predictable results, and v6-mini for all users including free. It does not state maximum song length. The Suno announcement says safeguards screen uploaded audio and lyrics for unauthorised use, which is about inputs, not output clearance.

What to log with an ad asset

Log what a client or platform may later ask for:

  • Model name (v6, v6-wild or v6-mini) and the plan the account was on.
  • Date generated and date of the approved download.
  • The version of the terms you shipped under.
  • Which models Suno has retired since, if you need to regenerate.

Where Sume fits

Sume's Music Router does not call Suno. It routes to Lyria 3.5 by default and also lists lyria-3-pro, and the job records the engine in job.request.routed_model. So a label-partnership story for Suno does not transfer to a Sume track, and Sume does not claim one. If you want a model-provenance log for a Sume track, use the job record and the metadata field described in Music 1.0.

Deal dates here come from vendor pages read once; confirm before relying on them in a contract.
