Storyblocks says its library is 100% human-made: what that means
Storyblocks announced on 20 May 2026 that its library is 100% human-made under a zero generative AI policy. What buyers can and cannot read into that.

Storyblocks posted on 20 May 2026 that its library is 100% human-made, with a strict zero generative AI policy for that library. For a buyer it means stock clips from Storyblocks are described by the vendor as not AI-generated. It says nothing about a vendor's separate tools.
Library versus tools
The company's separate AI statement, published 5 November 2025 and last updated 17 September 2026, describes AI tools Storyblocks offers. Those are tools, not library content, and the two pages keep them apart.
| Item | Page says |
|---|---|
| Library | 100% human-made, zero generative AI policy (20 May 2026) |

Using this in a mixed project
Record which clips came from the library and which were generated, so a later label can be accurate. A Sume job id per generated clip, and the asset id per library clip, is enough for that.
Cost note
Library clips are priced by the vendor's plan. Generated clips on Sume are list times 1.25, billed per job. See how Sume pricing works.
