Seedance 2.5 on Sume: $14.22 at 1080p, $5.78 at 720p for 10 seconds
A 10 second 16:9 seedance-2.5 clip bills $2.69 at 480p, $5.78 at 720p, $14.22 at 1080p on Sume. Pixels rise 2.25x and the token rate 9%, so price rises 2.46x.

A 10 second 16:9 seedance-2.5 clip costs $2.69 at 480p, $5.78 at 720p and $14.22 at 1080p on Sume. Seedance bills by tokens, and 1080p costs 2.46 times the 720p price because it has 2.25 times the pixels and a higher token rate, $0.0234 against $0.0214 per thousand tokens before the 1.25 multiplier.
How the token price works
Seedance is not billed per second like Wan or Omni. Sume's docs give the token count as width times height times seconds times 24, divided by 1024. The price is that count at the list rate, times 1.25, rounded up to the cent.
Because the price is a function of pixels and seconds, you can estimate any clip yourself: multiply width, height, seconds and 24, divide by 1024, then apply the rate for the resolution. Verify your estimate on the first job by comparing it with usage.cost.
Worked prices
| Resolution | Tokens | List rate per 1k tokens | Billed price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | Per the docs formula | $0.0214 | $2.69 |
| 720p (1280 x 720) | 216,000 | $0.0214 | $5.78 |
| 1080p (1920 x 1080) | 486,000 | $0.0234 | $14.22 |
The arithmetic
The 720p row is 216 thousand tokens x $0.0214 = $4.6224, times 1.25 = $5.78. The 1080p row is 486 thousand tokens x $0.0234 = $11.3724, times 1.25 = $14.22. Ratio: 2.25 x (0.0234 / 0.0214) = 2.46, matching 14.22 / 5.78.
What it means for drafts
A draft at 720p is therefore the sensible default. You pay $8.44 less per 10 second clip, and 1080p is worth it only for the take you will ship. Seedance 2.5 is also the only Seedance id with a 30 second ceiling; seedance-2, seedance-2-fast and seedance-2-mini stop at 15.
Compare with a per-second model. Wan at 720p is $1.25 for ten seconds, against $5.78 for Seedance 2.5 at the same resolution, so Seedance earns its price only when you need its length or look. For a 30 second clip, Wan 3.0 and Seedance 2.5 are the two ids that can do it, and the price difference is the deciding factor.
Length and shape
Length scales the price linearly, because tokens scale with seconds. A 30 second 720p clip is three times the 10 second price, about $17.34 before any rounding differences, and a 5 second clip is roughly half. Aspect ratio changes the pixel count, so confirm a 9:16 figure with a quick 4 second job and read usage.cost.
Reservation
The reservation made at submit is the same calculation; failed jobs release or refund it, as the generation admission docs explain. The Seedance versus Sora post compares the two.
