Prices at 15 seconds
Sume bills the provider list rate multiplied by 1.25 on every video model (Video Router). The figures here come from the price estimators in Sume's repository, run on 2026-10-07, and are rounded to the cent. The live numbers for your workspace are in the catalog response and on the API pricing page.
Seedance 2.0 and its Mini, Fast variants top out at 15 seconds, so 15 seconds is the longest fair comparison. Wan 3.0 goes to 30.
| Resolution | Seedance 2.0 Mini | Wan 3.0 | Wan saves |
|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | $1.32 | $0.94 | $0.38 |
| 720p | $2.84 | $1.88 | $0.96 |
| 1080p | $6.38 | $3.75 | $2.63 |
Reading the gap
Mini is the cheapest Seedance tier, built for drafts; Wan 3.0 undercuts it per second because Wan's rate is flat by resolution while Seedance prices video tokens. The gap is about 29 percent at 480p and grows to roughly 34 percent at 720p.
Pick Mini when you need the Seedance look and its reference handling for a draft; pick Wan when cost per second is the only constraint.
- Both accept audio and video references (Video generation).
- Mini caps at 15 seconds; Wan reaches 30.
- Neither accepts a seed.
Before you scale up
Run one clip of each, compare the look, and check usage.cost. Sume reserves the estimated amount when it accepts a job, captures it on success, and refunds the reservation if the job fails or is cancelled before capture (Usage, Generation admission). So the balance you need on hand at submit time is the price of everything in flight, not only the final total.
Set a cap before you start: from MCP, a paid tool takes dry_run=true and max_spend_usd (MCP tools and gates). Send a distinct Idempotency-Key per job so a retry replays the original job instead of charging again.
