School PTA fundraiser flyer and announcement, two languages: $0.51
Two flyers with exact text (three attempts each) and two voiced announcements, English and Spanish, cost $0.51 on Sume. Print upscaling adds $0.40.

A parent-teacher group can produce a winter fundraiser flyer and a voiced announcement in English and Spanish for $0.51 on Sume: six Ideogram 4.5 attempts at $0.075 ($0.45) and two short voiceovers ($0.06). If you print on letter paper, upscaling both finals adds $0.40 (read 2026-10-03).
Giving Tuesday falls on December 1, 2026, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. School communities often run a fundraiser around it, and a bilingual announcement reaches families who miss the English newsletter.
The flyer
Ideogram 4.5 at medium quality is $0.075 per image and is the model to use when the picture has words in it. Put the exact copy in quotes: the event name, the date, the place, and the one action. Keep it under about 12 words in total, and ask for the same layout in both languages by sending the same prompt with the translated line. Make three attempts per language and choose one, since lettering is where these images fail.
Proofread against your own text, letter by letter, and check the date again. A flyer with the wrong date is worse than none. The 4:5 ratio fits a social post and a printed page with a small margin.
| Item | Rate | Quantity | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flyer attempts, Ideogram 4.5 medium | $0.075 per image | 6 | $0.45 |
| English announcement, 450 characters | $0.0475 per 1,000 characters, billed to the cent | 1 | $0.03 |
| Spanish announcement, 520 characters | $0.0475 per 1,000 characters, billed to the cent | 1 | $0.03 |
| Total | $0.51 | ||
| Optional print upscale of two finals | $0.20 per image | 2 | $0.40 |
The announcement
Write about 450 characters in each language, around 30 seconds spoken. Set language on each voice request and choose a voice that speaks it: an English voice reading Spanish will sound wrong. Ask a Spanish-speaking parent to listen before it goes out.
State clearly who is running the appeal and where the money goes, because families will ask. Do not put children's names or photos in a flyer without the school's consent policy being followed. The plan for a parent-facing video with captions in two languages is in the school announcement post, and the Giving Tuesday dates are the same for everyone.
Budget and checks before you start
Agree on the facts in one shared document before generating anything: event name, date, place, goal and contact. Both language versions are produced from that one source, which prevents the English and Spanish flyers from drifting apart. A parent volunteer who reads Spanish should check the final flyer and the audio.
Post the flyer at the start of the week and the voiced announcement on the day. Budget a few extra attempts: even at ten attempts rather than six, the flyer spend is still under a dollar, and the cost of a wrong date on a printed page is higher than any image fee.
