Salon service menu reel: six stills and a music bed for $0.83
A 24-second reel with six service cards, a Music Router track and one Timeline render costs $0.825 on Sume. The cards are $0.60 of it.

A 24-second reel for a salon menu, with six service cards, one generated music track and one Timeline render, costs $0.825 on Sume: $0.60 for six images at 1K, $0.125 for the music and $0.10 for the render. No video model is involved, because Timeline accepts stills as static holds.
The bill
Music Router charges a flat price per generation, whatever the model. Timeline 1.0 charges per rounded-up output minute.
| Step | Calculation | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Six cards, Nano Banana 2.1 1K | 6 x $0.10 | $0.60 |
Music, sume/music-auto | one generation | $0.125 |
| Timeline render | ceil(24 s / 60) x $0.10 | $0.10 |
| Total | $0.825 |
The render
The music file is the audio spine. Ask for the length in the prompt, because Music Router rejects a duration field, and declare an audio.duration_seconds that is no longer than the file you got. Each card is a video[] slot of 4 seconds.
slots = []
for i in range(6):
slot = {"source_url": f"https://media.sume.com/artifacts/artf_demo/card{i}.png",
"start": i * 4, "duration": 4, "fit": "cover"}
if i:
slot["transition"] = {"type": "fade", "duration": 0.25}
slots.append(slot)
body = {
"audio": {"url": "https://media.sume.com/artifacts/artf_demo/bed.mp3",
"duration_seconds": 24},
"video": slots,
"output": {"width": 1080, "height": 1920, "fps": 30},
}
# POST https://api.sume.com/v1/timeline-1.0/render with Idempotency-KeyLimits and gotchas
- Stills ignore
motionand are reported asmotion_ignored; that is a warning, not a failure. - Put prices on the card images only if you check each one: generated text can be wrong.
- Use the free
POST /v1/timeline-1.0/planto confirm the cost before rendering. - An mp3 spine adds encoder padding at joins; keep wav if you will concatenate.
