For a 10-second text-to-video clip, Runway's own price page works out lower than Sume's sell price for both models: Wan 3 at 720p is $1.00 on Runway versus $1.25 on Sume before Sume's 5.5% fee, and Seedance 2.5 at 720p is $3.00 versus $5.78. Sume's rows are the provider list price x 1.25. The comparison covers only what both pages list; it says nothing about features, queueing or workflow.

What Runway lists

Per Runway's API pricing guide (read 2026-10-07), a credit costs $0.01. Wan 3 is 5, 10 and 20 credits per second of output at 480p, 720p and 1080p. Seedance 2.5 is 20, 30 and 68 credits per second of output at those resolutions, plus 10, 15 and 34 credits per second of input and reference video, with a minimum of 80 credits per generation. This table has no input or reference video, so only the output credits count.

Ten seconds, side by side

Runway cost = credits per second x 10 seconds x $0.01. Sume cost = list price x 1.25 rounded up, before the platform fee. Seedance on Sume is billed by video tokens, so the 10-second price comes from the repo's estimator.

Where the gap comes from

Wan 3 on Sume is exactly 1.25x the per-second rate on Runway, which is the list-plus-25% rule. The Seedance gap is wider because Sume's token-based list cost (per fal's page, read 2026-10-07, $0.0214 per 1,000 tokens at 480p and 720p) is higher than Runway's listed per-second price. This post does not explain why vendors differ.

When price is not the deciding factor

Sume adds a 5.5% platform fee on top. What you get for it is one API for video, images, TTS, music and a timeline renderer, one USD balance and the same job and usage ledger across them. If you only need one of the two models in one product, price both with your real clip lengths before choosing.
