What did Meta announce?

Meta's October 10, 2023 Reels ads post says it launched multi-destination Reels carousel ads for iOS and Android, with multiple product-page calls to action, and added swipe-left on Reels ads. It also says Collection Ads launched on Instagram and were being tested on Facebook. I read the page on 2026-10-03; it is a 2023 announcement, so check Meta's current ad formats for what is available now.

What do the tiles need?

The current Facebook Reels carousel spec page lists 2 to 10 image cards at 9:16, 1080x1920 or more, 30 MB each. Build the tile images to that spec, one per product page you link to.

How do I make them with Sume?

Generate each tile with POST /v1/images and aspect_ratio: "9:16". For the lead clip above the tiles, trim a segment of the product video to length with video trim ($0.02 per job). Meta's post also describes Advantage+ templates that convert non-9:16 media to 9:16, but a prepared 9:16 asset avoids depending on that conversion.

Every write needs an Idempotency-Key header, and sources must be Sume-hosted.

  • One tile per destination page.
  • Keep text in the middle band.
  • Name files by product so the destination mapping is clear.

Is swipe-left a creative concern?

It changes how a viewer moves, not what the file must be. Put the call to action in the primary text and the card, not in a gesture the viewer may not make.
